The traitor and craven Aleksander Staunton had denied multiple requests for honourable duel and saw fit to barricade himself within his own high walls. Furthermore, the false knight and jaundiced ‘Ser’ Demetrios Palaiologos, who claimed he had every right to rule the castle unjustly taken, had seen fit to follow his craven liege to the grave.The Vanirs, rightful rulers of Kraken’s Watch, had taken refuge in Gryphons Hold, the seat of Duke Jan Kovachev. The men of Krajia, the soldiers of the Golden Corps and the levy of Prince Charles had joined them.
