A carnival!

You stumble across various stalls of different coloured roofs, each selling interesting looking foods, and some stalls have small games that entertain children and adults alike. The sounds of laughter and children squealing in the distance. You're wondering where the heck are you. A man wearing a jester's hat with makeup notices you after making a funny face to a bunch of children, and runs up to you in a jovial state.

"Welcome stranger, foe, or friend! How about you try our rollercoaster, or have a go on the merry go round? Want a cotton candy?" The man in red and white says so excitedly, as if slightly mad. You do not know whether you should run or stay. But the colourful stalls, the intriguing games, and the aroma of food makes you consider the latter.

"Wonderful! Knew you'd like it chap! This is the Lunavara Carnival, right outside Lunavara, a quaint little town. I thought it needed a bit more spice to it, so I brought my carnival here! There will be live acts in a short while, so why not try one of our games first before the act? That's a good chap! Well I must be off! I must contain all the lions before they start killing my employees!"

(So me and Trouvo was talking about setting up a carnival, seeing as how it would be cool to hold these kind of medieval events, but no one has done it before. So we said, hey, lets be the first! And here we are! Please give suggestions and ideas to the carnival! It should be up within a week or 2 if materials and ideas can be acquired!)

Games I thought of so far

~Archery - Hit the bullseye and win a prize!

~Jousting(not too sure about this)

Apparently only VIP can control mounts, so this will be a vip only event.

First person to give up loses. Needs at least 2 contestant, or can be replaced with 2 staff shooting arrows. Our staff will give up when they reach 3 hearts each. Combatants can only wield a wooden sword. Food and armour is not allowed.

If however it is a fight between 2 people, the prize goes to the winner of the 2. No cheating is allowed, if you 2 are in cahoots, we'll disqualify you!

~Arena matches! Register to be a gladiator, or watch them slaughter each other!

A grand prize would be given, and small gifts to be given to all participants! Its a bring your own, one is solo, the other is a team match of 2v2 and 3v3! (the loss of life is to be expected, will be cheered for, and the carnival holds no responsibility to reimbursing your wife)

~A spleef arena! It will be made from glass, and we will give you a pick. But we will charge you, and it'll only open at certain times(staff gotta fix the flooring). Last man standing wins 50% of the entrance fees! Blacksmiths who wants to insanely raise their lvls? (Or we could use snow....but thats boring, glass is hard to see)

~Drunken Wrestling matches! Just like sumo wrestling, we'll have you drink a TON of ale, about 10 mugs. And make you fight above a platform of water. NO SHIFT/SNEAK IS ALLOWED, FIRST PERSON TO DO SO IS DISQUALIFIED. Knock your opponent off the edge!

~MINI GOLF! Hopefully we can find a patch of ice large enough to create a course, but i think it'll be a long stretch to ask GMs for this. You will have to aim and hit(throw) your ball into correct angles to enter the goal! Maybe about 9 courses.(petrus, thanks!)

~Rollercoaster rides! Enjoy the invention of what minecarts could be used for other than transportation!

~Duck Hunts! Where about 5 minecarts are lined up. The front ones will be moving slow, while the back ones will be moving insanely fast. The point system is the cart in front is 1 point, the 2nd is 2 points and so on. We will have a bunch of prizes and you can redeem your points at the end!

~Mini gauntlet! Not as challenging, but has a time limit! And it wont have lava, just water! But you have to pay for the entrance fee. Beat the timer and win a small prize! You can try as many times as you want, and win as many times as you want!

~Love boat/scenic cruise trip

Want a memorable place to propose to that lovely elf you've had your eyes on since forever? Well heighten the mood, get your game face on, cause this is the perfect opportunity! The ride slowly leads you away from the boister of the crowd, into a scenic trip around Lunavara, while still sporting some "love symbols", so that boy/girl gets the hint! Dont worry, our staff wont be watching. However this ride will be closed at night for our participants safety.

~House of mirrors! Try to beat the house of mirrors(glass) in one go! Challenge your friends! Dont break the mirrors please, or else I will personally curse you with 7 years of bad cookies!

~A live show, featuring a animal parade performance by our tamers! Dont worry, they usually dont break the chains and get set loose on the crowd!

~Fortune teller Mystique! Hopefully we can get a mage from the Mages guild, and they will read your fortunes!

~Lucky egg? If a chicken manages to hatch when you throw the eggs in the designated cage, you win a big prize!

~Are you smart enough to beat this riddle? A riddlemaster will devise various riddles that utilize the sense of seeing as well as your brain!

~Snowball fight! Payment will be dependent on number of snowballs bought! Build a fort within 3 minutes, and challenge your friends or the staff to capture your flag!

A slotmachine! Hoping to get a casino owner to open his slot machine here!

A merry go round, made with slow moving minecarts around some really nice statues of ponies/mini castle

A ferriswheel, using the technique of boats always floating to the top, some sort of water elavator. Or using minecarts and at certain times activating the minecart booster, stop. activate again.

A house of horror! (no real mobs) complete with pitfall traps, watchout!

a Parade! Yes you heard me, all the staff and performers will gather and show the public who we are and which faces to seek during the carnival period!

Bring your home tailored bear skin or a real bear skin if possible tothe show! We have yet decided on a theme folks, Any idea for themes are greatly appreciated!

All that came from just a hours worth of thinking, I'm sure the community has much more to offer! And i'm accepting people who wish to join me as staff members, or as part of the act! We will have test run all games and rides to see if its doable by the general public before we launch the carnival, wilds ideas and suggestions are welcomed. If its not too insane, we could make it happen.

I encourage everyone to wear what they want at a carnival! No need to be uptight and formal, loosen up! Wear a jesters hat! The king should come in a bear suit!

Oh and of course any donations of building materials are always welcomed!

Well excuse me then. A 2nd carnival (i wasn't here a month ago) then! Yes, we would have our staff members running around in cute clothing, attempting to provide fun and friendly services to the people! But really, I would love more feedback and ideas for games and such, but i am appreciative of the support! I plan on advertising in game too, once i get the foundations laid out and enough materials to set it up!

Well I can ask the king if he would like to partake in erm...medieval cosplay. But i doubt it. I'm currently looking for skins for staff members! Anddddd I need more people to open stalls there.
