"The Orcish plague affects another by air, it seems... yes… it would explain why people do not touch an infected but are infected regardless… there is something in the air. Likely the toxins, perhaps? If so… then the toxins likely enter the body by nose and mouth... being breathed in… then.. It starts its attack.”

Elvira Naromis, returned from her quest for inner peace, looked up at the diagram of the human body she had made on the board. There, the lungs, heart, and many other organs within the body had been drawn on and labelled carefully. The cleric crosses her arms as she mutters to herself.

“Then once in the body,  the toxins enter the bloodstream, allowing access throughout the body… and with these toxins, the plague can essentially attack the organs as the blood run through them. Thus, it attacks at the organs, breaking them down one by one, rotting and causing them to collapse, leading to the organ failing. If not healed soon… all the organs will shut down and slow and pain death will happen.”

The cleric picked up some parchment, with the listings of victims and their symptoms. Many druid names would be written down on the paper. “The lungs and kidneys further backs up my point of the plague being able to affect by air… and the stomach backing up by mouth, seeing how they are the first to be infected  before the toxins spread. The victim normally would have three or so days to find a cleric or ascended to heal them. However… given that clerics and ascendeds may be unavailable at some points… I fear reaching to the infected and saving them, as well as ceasing the spread, will be difficult. If anything, it will allow it to spread more. There needs to be a method of stopping this plague faster and smoother.”

Elvira approached her desk and sat down, taking a quill and a fresh parchment in hand. She would swiftly make a list of things to do and pins it up on the wall in front of her. Then, she writes a letter out. As she did so, she mutters.

“If I am to make a cure for the Orcish plague… then I will need blood samples of those infected. Not one sample, a few, enough to experiment with. Yes, the blood is different but the toxins should be all the same. From there… Alchemy, if I can use the regents in Alchemy and the blood as a base… perhaps I can create a cure, one that attacks at the toxins within the bloodstream… then it should not be drank, but injected into a vein. Yes… that sounds right. Now… to send this letter off… I hope they will be fine giving me the blood.”

And thus the cleric plotted that day, seeking to bring an end to the Orcish plague that terrorized the bodies of those infected with it. Elvira knew full well this would not be a simple process, but a complex and difficult one. However she knew  she would be able to do it. After all, she had 50 years experience being an Alchemist, she knew what she was going to do, what she needed, and all the information she needed.

All that matters was… would she be able to find the right recipe… and would it work?

((So with the plague outbreak with the druids, my character Elvira has decided to try and find a more mundane and reachable method of healing anyone infected with the plague. That way, the plague can be stopped quicker. I have been allowed to do this. This will be in parts since I will be having Elvira RP out her attempts to make the cure, so this should be fun.))

((I am unsure if anybody would possess knowledge of this happening, so I'll just leave an OOC note.

Have fun RPing to find a cure, you're the best alchemy RPer I know of so I'm sure it'll be quality stuff. and expect some resistance if word gets out <3))

((Anyone told by Elvira, or are within the clerics or druids will likely know of this))

Nurena'Yar is highly amused by the spreading of the plague. This suits her agenda just fine.

((Just wanted to say, props to you for getting some RP out of this plague. I hope to see more people following suit and, while it might not be light and happy RP, get some good experiences from it.))
