The Future of Oren

With the clear knowledge and plans that Availer and the development team have set out for the future of the map we can start to plan ahead and know what to expect for the nation now in 1.9 rather than being at a total loss about what to do with 1.8. With Availer's absence there was some confusion about the state of the map and server and whether we should continue working on the current area of Oren as it is or simply hold off until we could begin construction on a new continent(Map). However, we're still unsure with what to do exactly with what we have now and what kind of things people would like to have added, removed, relocated, etc. And also what to do with the future lands of Oren on a new continent, the 'Oren development team' (Myself, TheRedNinja, Charlie4vb, etc) will be trying to give our views publicity soon once we can talk about it a bit more in a group and then I plan to create some topics and polls about things you would like to see for the current Oren, and the new one alike. I will do my best to make sure the public is kept into the loop but everyone must remember in key point that no matter how much we plan ahead we still probably need Availer's permission to build a certain way and even just time constraints and such could change our plans drastically when the time does come around to begin rebuilding Oren as a whole. I'd like to reiterate that donators and such 'should' (as far as I know) be able to retain their land plots, titles, etc but buildings will not be carried over and you may have to re-request your town to become part of the nation on the 1.9 continent.

For now please try not to leave any of your ideas and such that I stated we were going to ask you for in this topic, wait until I've started another. (Expect to see a new poll or two in a day or so along with a stickied & locked post of our plans) If you do have any others ideas about what we should be doing to make sure everyone is happy with the new Oren (lol like that'll happen) then you should probably PM me to keep this topic from being cluttered, but keep these suggestions to things like poll topics and such, I dont need a PM telling me you'd like a huge fountain in the middle of the city, save that for one of the polls as a reply.

But yes The points you have touched on are things many have been pondering, will their housing be safe, their land, their items etc. At least you have shed some light on these talking points.

So, if this is a new map and all, will donators re-receive their in-game money or will acquire things in a different way in order to re-build properties. ie. If a lot of the money we received was spent on building materials and yet we don't get building carried over, do we get materials back or money back or neither. Sorry for the long-winded question, I'm just kinda curious as I only donated a short while ago ;-)

Just an idea seeing that this server takes a lot from and is kind of set in the middle ages time period and this is the human government religion was a very big part of the government it would be quite neat if we had religions and then added the head priests, bishops, etc. to the government I know this is a pretty broad idea that will take quite a time to finalize and expand on but seeing as we are going to have a new map in place I think that it adds quite a bit to the role play aspect such as possibly going praying on sundays irl or having religious wars over the different beliefs of the people.
