What is roleplaying?: Roleplaying is acting as a character of your creation totally seperate from yourself complete with backstory traits personality and appearance.

What is metagaming?: use of imformation your character has not had access to say the moveset of a boss (in RPG games) that the player has never played against before.

What is power-emoting (powergaming)?: in basic terms running through the game with disregard for story and other aspects, just to obtain certain items or statuses etc.

 

In-Character Information
Now you actually make your character - be creative but stay reasonable! Make sure they make sense and that they follow lore. Try to come up with a character that you actually want to play.

Biography  (Please make it a decent two paragraphs long. Remember to add three references to the server lore.): (where does your character come from?; where have they traveled to?; what year were they born in? et cetera.) born on the streets of laureh'lin abandoned at birth by their parents and found by another family living in the city doing jobs in town to pay his way through life and to eventually pay back his adopted parents, he achieved this by the age of 25, being abandoned at birth and picked up by a family would be nothing small especially to elves who already have a low birth rate so as such most of his early life he was berrated and abused by others his age and even elder elves as they saw that there must be something wrong with him for an elf to abandon their child often fighting with others for this and for any disrespect to his family leaving the city and travelling the land he found talent in the arts of killing and a fascination with blood be it his own an animals or the blood of any other race prompting him to seek out a blood mage to learn from, after finding someone they were not the most happy or kind person at his request for a master as they immediately tried to kill him and use his essence for a ritual to increase their own power, not too happy with the mages compromise he was murdered in cold blood before he could life a finger. finding the mages notes and taking everything they owned he practiced this new art and found ways he could use it in tandem with his "talents" working as an assassin under the guise of a wood cutter and using his victims to further his research while slowly achieving his goals. after an incident with a mark had gone wrong (his source of the targets information was terriblly inaccurate) he was left terribly wounded but with an ample amount of essence from his near dead enemies, so he started a ritual to restore as much damage as possible in a state of meditation restoring the bare minimum needed to travel back to his home he weaved a tale that he had left the town while remaining in his home which was now thought to be abandoned and haunted as anyone who entered was never seen again, the reality tho is much less dramatic, they were killed and their essence was used to restore him as much as possible this continued for a decade leading to his coming back into a changed world the city had changed many new faces were seen or as he saw it. more prey. Ambitions: (what does your character aspire to be?) To obtain a position of security and respect to avoid un-needed conflict outside of work, aswell as establish an assassins guild of his creation

Strengths/Talents: (what is your character really, really good at?) killing from the shadows and blood magic

Weaknesses/Inabilities: (what is a skill that your character needs to work on?) communication with people without arguing

Greetings, applicant;

Your application has been Denied for the following reasons:

 

• Personality traits is a part where the applicant states how their character behaves. Yours only contains his likes Is your character greedy? Perhaps short-tempered? Please explain in-depth;
• Your strengths and biography suggests that your character can use blood magic. This is not possible, as applicants are not allowed to have excess information on magic as they apply to the server. Please remove everything about magic from your application;
• Your biography doesn't contain any lore from the Lord of the Craft. Please include at least 3 pieces of lore from it. Lore can be found here: https://wikia.lordofthecraft.net/index.php?title=Main_Page
• Your character's aspirations and weaknesses are vague and one-dimensioned. The Application Team encourages applicants to develop their character in more than one way, also beyond physicality. A few examples would be: having a short-temper, being patient, being cold-blooded et cetera;
• Your strengths and weaknesses do not have the necessary amount to be acceptable. Please include at least three of each;
• Blood magic does have rituals, but it doesn't quite work the way you're explaining it. The only part you've stated in your application about the ritual is that your character "kills people to gain strength". I feel like you've chosen the magic with the coolest name from the dark arts list, and used it on your character with no information about it to make them more powerful. Even if this will be a re-statement, please do remove it from your application;
• The application team does require an accessible picture of your skin. You may use online applications like gyazo or imgur to provide your application with a link, but it is necessary;
• Wood elves are not naturally pale, and I'm pretty sure they do not have red eyes. They have a slightly tanned skin, and mostly have brown or green coloured eyes;
• Being abandoned at birth only to become an edgy shadow assassin is quite an edgy and cliché backstory, almost as much as parents getting killed by orcish bandits. Please create a more unique backstory;
• Your definitions for metagaming and powergaming are incorrect. You may learn more about the definitions from the link below. However, DO NOT copy and paste the definitions as the Application Team would love to hear them from your own words. 
• A personal suggestion from me, that you have the freedom to ignore. I would like to be honest with you. As being blunt in applications have proved to be the right thing in getting applicants to successfully fix their applications. The character you've made is edgy. Meaning, they are too specially designed, and this is something that the community does not look kindly upon. The Lord of the Craft community doesn't have all "special" people in roleplay. There are regular farmers, basic guards, simple shopkeepers and et cetera. To fit in the community and to get accepted into it, I'd suggest you make a more "regular" character. If you understand what I mean by it. By this, I do not mean that no one is powerful, and that nothing ever happens. I'm just stating that not all of the community are blood thirsty dark elf assassins, neither are they sadistic blood mages. I recommend you take this into consideration.
