What is roleplaying?: having dialogue with other people in game as a fictitious character, this is usually related to changing the behavior of  your speech patterns to fit a role, or "putting yourself in the character's shoes"

What is metagaming?: having info from the story that your character doesn't know at the moment, this is related to story that the character has not heard or seen yet (this usually makes your decision in a game) can ruin a story, also known as spoilers

What is power-emoting (powergaming)?: the ability to overcome anything in your character's way without the character having the skill or power to do so

 

In-Character Information
Now you actually make your character - be creative but stay reasonable! Make sure they make sense and that they follow lore. Try to come up with a character that you actually want to play.

Biography  (Please make it a decent two paragraphs long. Remember to add three references to the server lore.): (where does your character come from?; where have they traveled to?; what year were they born in? et cetera.) Thorik was born in Valor, during the Dwarvin civil war. His family moved to Axios under the FrostBeard clan. As per tradition Thorik killed a bear with his own hands, but not without injury. He suffered a leg injury that crippled his left leg. As a result he was never the same and focused on the literary arts instead. Focusing on the literary arts put him through many hardships because of having to learn the ancient language and he never gave a thought to becoming a guard or adventurer. His parents never looked at him the same way again. He knew that the only way for a happy life was to get away from his clan and study in a place that he was accepted.

As he grew up he read more and more, and even learned the ancient dwarven language. Thorik decided that being a scholar would suit him just fine. but as time went on this study of the literary arts bored him, and he wanted to start searching for the unknown, such as magic.

Personality Traits: (what are your character's quirks?; habits?; likes and dislikes?) likes dogs, gemstones, music, most literacy, dislikes overly perky people, liars, and prevention of his work.

Ambitions: (what does your character aspire to be?)  a magic scholar

Strengths/Talents: (what is your character really, really good at?) literacy and music, taller than most dwarves, because of his limp focused on literary arts and strength training, because of being a mountain dwarf he is very charming

Weaknesses/Inabilities: (what is a skill that your character needs to work on?) speed and social skills, has a major limp that makes it hard to fit in with a crowd, stutters and isn't very good at communicating, incredibly slow for a dwarf

Appearance: (what does your character look like?; how tall are they?; hair color?; scars?) a deep red hair color, with a light skin tone, no scars, 4 feet 3 inches
