The moon, ever bright, ever silent, began to rise over the the high city of Veris. Its luminescent glow bathes the dark city in its light. As the citizens of the city began to head into their houses to rest, one woman did not. A plump kha’leparda sits in a chair in the hall in front of her room, looking out of the window and at the rising moon. She remained here for a while, until a larger kharajyr arrived up the lift and happened to notice her in her forlorn state and heads over.

“Are you okay, Astrawla?” Asked the much larger kharajyr as he made his way through the hall and to her seat.

“Astrawla is fine, patta. She just feels alone, is all.” Replied Astrawla as her gaze continued to follow the moons path.

With that, the large leparda left towards the lift and ascended up to his own room to turn in for the night, leaving his daughter in her seat. She was left unguided, without answers. She then hopped up out of her seat, her staff in hand, and made her way through the manor. She hobbled along the long hallway and then descended the lift a few floors. After having reached the correct floor she would turn and hobble around a large table, quiet as to not awaken any of those who would be sleeping in the surrounding rooms. The door  slowly creaked open as she made her way out into the small garden at the back of the manor, which overlooks a large field, giant trees and mountain ranges.

She would take a seat on a small mat which was placed out there, a gently breeze would bring a stray orange leaf into her path. She raises her paw to gently allow it to land in her open palm. As it does she would sigh and direct her gaze back up towards the rising moon and begin to speak.

“Why have you left us unguided for so long, blinded for so long, mother moon?” She would ask, although not expecting much of a reply.

She sighed heavily, for a long time they were left leaderless without proper guidance from their creator. She rubs her face in disappointment as she would slowly rise to her feet once again. Then suddenly, a gap in the clouds revealed a beam of white light which bathed the manor in its holy glow. She stopped her in tracks as she would then turn to face the source. A voice then followed.

“Unguided for no longer.” A feminine voice would boom, although whether it was in her head or from Metztli herself mattered not.

Soon after this her body would begin to sting, and soar. She would begin to experience excruciating pain which would cause her to roar and scream in pain as she clutched her chest. Her brown fur coat would begin to shed and litter the gardens grass. She would stumble onto one knee as a coat of white would push through her skin, painfully. Until finally she adorned a full white coat of fur, she had been blessed and her pain was no more. Metztli had answered her call and picked a new leader to unite and lead what little remains of her children.

Tepah would grunt upon seeing a white kha ar his rafikee's wedding "and they say Tepah starts ****. Maybe this is how the Goddess is going to cull the weaker of our race. Silver must be refined somehow"
