A Sweet Escape

It was then, the usual mere dusk of dawn setting in, the young Brawm stepped into the tavern. Provoked, disrespected and seeking nothing but a cool setting of ale to calm the day's events. It was just then when Ally was distracted by the Mali'ame, Mare, whom called out to her. The Elfess sitting next to the Tribune himself . A Tribune, which remained ignorant to the mind of the fair skinned woman; Aliyah Brawm. After an order of the drink, the Legion man demanded pay. Thus the woman refused as she held no coin with her. Aliyah was always cared for financially by her brothers.

Ally laughed wildly, seeing how ridiculous it was to grow so angered at the scene. She had her sip of the cheap and rather water down drink, the contents slipping down her throat in easing bliss.

"Give it back!" Demanded the bartender, standing in his rather comical military uniform.

And that is just want she had done, throwing it directly in aim to his scrunched and violently eager face. In amusement, sounds of laughter expelled from the Brawm's lips. Figuring that he would too find it a jest as well. Though she could never be more wrong, he found no amusement in the taunts at all concluding to the drawing of his weapon.

"Unoathed, arrest her!" Boomed in voice from the Tribune, Owyn himself. His voice stirring in the urge to leave, and make her exit rather hastily.

The sound of Aliyah's ragged boots drummed in tempo against the fine wooden finishing table, knocking over a tanker or two. A graceful bow given in relative tranquility in a twirled flicker of her lanky wrist;  offered to those who found amusement in the total dramatic acts seen previously before. The Elfess, Mare, speaking for Ally's pardon in-action, elaborating the choices made in quite the defense. Jumping down she ran, ran faster than her legs felt will to. Almost instantly, one of five brothers was seen- as word given by the Tribune for her arrest was made, he sought after her just as quickly. Split moments later, Reeve, bold and brave in his image scorned her for such actions, but too enjoyed a bit of prideful laughter for his sister.

Hours and hours had passed, a guard seen at each and every gate of the city, Johannesburg. Knocking on doors, questioning every standby citizen or visitor, and searching as if they lost a diamond in the washing waves of the cruel ocean. Aliyah, shaking and fearful at this point looked to her brother. His eyes held not fear or commotion, but peace and readiness to deal with no consequences, but the God given birthright of protecting her. Even if it meant his life.

The roofs of Johannesburg, bumpy and unsteady, wasn't a challenge for her nor the Brawm brothers. In the North, the mountains, all alike in terrain was a battle itself. Brick to brick, slinging pole to pole. The Brawm made her escape in a smooth fashion. Just then when she viewed the open back gate was the breaking chance of a final sprint.

"Don't think, just, do!" Reeve informed, "This is your only chance, Ally." His feet picked up in speed as he pulled her along.

Ally, with a trace of thankfulness seen in the crevice of the smiling lips she would soon bear. Freedom, family, and once and for all the chance to realise that without family, all of this would've been a dark hole for her. Next thing she knew, she was riding bare horse-back to the North. Just behind her the other brothers, too riding horseback at each others flank, joined along the way in this silent journey. Now moving home to await the scorn, wrath, and disappointment of their father. Aliyah's heart couldn't bear the thought of her fathers anger, for she had never faced it. This time, she knew that this punishment would be a memory to be held for a life time.

[!]

Thump, thump. The sound of her heart beat descending, seeing her fathers facial expression in the distance, feeling the wrath of his anger. Thump thump. The sound of the horse's footing in the white clad ground of soft snow would remain in her head as a final ride for a long time. Thump thump, a final break in Aliyah's heart before tears overwhelmed her blue eyes. Now bursting in a waterfall of ill regret.
