Hearthbeard Clan

History

As the realm of Athera is attacked by large worms, The dwarves of the Grand Kingdom of Urguan, flee onto boats to avoid being killed by these massive beasts. As the ship leaves, a dwarf, by the name of Ulgar runs after the boats, trying to get the dwarves to stop. Ulgar stands on the edge of the island peering out over the vast sea as the Dwarven boats, as well as many other race’s boats, sail off into the distance. Ulgar spots a small life vessel of early dwarven design. Ulgar hops into the Boat and tries to sail after them, but falling behind as he can only go 10 knots. The lonely dwarf, crashes into small island filled with fruit and water. Ulgar spends 40 years on this island before deciding that he needs to find the dwarves. Ulgar arrives on the realm of valior in 1542. Ulgar, tries to find clan but just can’t because he doesn’t know anyone anymore. Ulgar can only find joy in mining. As Ulgar mines he finds a strange purple gem. The excited and curious dwarf goes to his small workbench and takes out many strange tools made for polishing and scraping. We Ulgar finishes polishing, the gem shines like no gem he had see. The dwarf, names it the Hearthstone. The now older Ulgar, likes the name and finds that it suits him. Looks at the stone and shapes it to a banner. And his new Idea forms. He runs to the great hall, where he hopes to find King Rhewen, and ask him if he can form a new clan. After his discouraging trip to the clan hall he sets off on a journey, finding new supplies and more treasure that layer so quietly underneath the blanket of the earth's grass. Ulgar got so into his work that he forgot about the Dwarven kingdom, and every kingdom of man or beast. He just worked from dusk to dawn digging up new found Ferum and Augnum. But again.came, time for the island to be lost and found there new home. Here, with a new king, Ulgar hopes to build up a clan.

 

The Hearthstone

A large purple stone,smoothed out and place on a flag.The sparkle in the design has been added by heating it up really hot and adding a tad of glow dust. The Gem is the heart and soul of this clan.

 

Tactics
If the clan is formed it will be formed mainly on mining. For mining brought the clan together, and mining will keep the clan together. The clan also focuses on Blacksmithing as that is the way Ulgar was taught. The Hearthbeards main focus is supplying as well as protecting.

 

Clan Hall

If they would get a clan hall. It will be their place of work. A large room filled with anvils, and stonemason’s tables.
