The doors of the Imperial Palace would be open wide, emitting warm air and an essence of merriment. Maids would hurry about, hanging freshly-cut garlands from the banisters and placing glass ornaments upon the Krugsmas Tree. The cooks would be hard at work, preparing the finest entrees and desserts that the Empire has to offer, with the Nauzica Brigade suited in their finest uniforms. ~*~ Heralds would come pouring out of the Throne Room, hurrying into the streets of Johannesburg to pin up poster-like letters, continuing on to distribute these posters throughout the rest of the Empire. These posters would be written in the signature cursive-writing of an educated noblewoman, a closer look would reveal what these letters would read: Spoiler The Empress-Mother is delighted to inform you that you and your family are hereby invited to The Imperial Holiday Ball in celebration of the holiday season. The other important celebration, and most importantly, would be the marriage of her son, His Imperial Majesty Philip Frederick, to Adeline Augusta of House de Savoie. The event is to be held within the ballroom of the Imperial Palace, found in the capital of Johannesburg. All guests are expected to dress in their finest, most festive attire and behave in the most respectable manner. Neither weapon or armor, except a breastplate or sword of a ceremonial nature, are permitted within the grounds of the Imperial Palace at any time during this event.
