shortchangehero 4217 Share Posted January 22, 2017 The orange-attired man, though only by a few months fresh out of his adolescence, would glare over the Ostwik lake at rising sun across. On his back lay his battered kiteshield, covering his body his armor and clanged to his waist his arms’n’satchel. Something strange would happen in Ostwik, an occurrence that has never once happened before. A single tear would stream down the Marshal’s face as his strange grey eyes would begin to water. With a sleeve wiped across his face and a gasp of air filling his lungs, the clanking of every step could be heard as the grown up boy departed his home. -=- “LAST CALL, LAST CALL! SHIP SETS SAIL IN A SAINT’S HOUR!” Bellowed the voice of the sailor. With a flash of his ticket, the same orange-attired man from before would board the boat. “Say, yeh look mighteh familiar.” Questioned a dwarf stroking his beard as he looked up at the grey-eyed man. “W’ere deh eh know yeh from, laddeh?” . . . “You must got me confused, I’m just a travelling merchant is all.” And with that, Jacque de Felsen would offer a weak smile. -=- *A note would be left towards the Staunton family* “To those whom this may concern, Let this letter be my official resignation as Marshal of Courland. My time and work as the military leader of Courland has seem to come to it’s end. I’ve served well but feel as if my services no longer benefit to the Kingdom. Instead of staying and bringing all down, I’ve decided leaving would be for the greater good, for all. With my leave I would like to suggest Ser Gared for the Marshal position for he has served Courland for many years now and has served well. I could think of no better man for the job. To my King and Queen I wish your soon coming child great health. I know that great things will come in their years ahead and in their future. To the knights of the Kingdom I demand the utmost best of their duties to the realm and whole heartedly appreciate their services to all. To the rest, I wish you all the best.
