For hiring him to craft, the employer must provide the materials.

 

For buying minerals talk to Hephaestus through a bird or in person!

 

If ye are hiring Hephaestus for a certain time period, the employer must provide a housing and a crafting area for the certain time period until his services are finished.

 

When arranging a price, the price is agreed on by both parties and for mineral prices the price is a set price until the market price changes drastically.
