Within the small keep of Ponce, the two members of the College of Cardinals arrived to meet followed by their assistants and deacons. Onfroi, one of the two cardinals, rises to speak to the small gathering.

“Following the disappearance of His Holiness, High Pontiff Lucien the Fifth, it has fallen unto us to name his successor. The successor must receive a majority of the vote among the Synod, two votes out of two. The voting shall resume until one is chosen to rise to this great Holy Office. This council must now elect a true Pontiff to lead our Church in this time of schism, bring back to GOD’s glory those of the so called True Faith, and bring salvation to this most Holy Church.”

The men would watch silently as both cardinals rise to place their votes in the lock-box. One of the scribes would open the box and begin counting the votes one-by-one.

"Sebastian Sarkozic."

He clears his throat once before reading out the final vote.

"Sebastian Sarkozic. All rise for the High Pontiff-Elect." He'd step away from the podium, bowing his head in reverence as Sebastian rises.

Sebastian, stands. "The Church has crumbled. I will not bring about claims of greatness or recent revival. We lack in number, we lack in zeal, we lack in presence. Only through cooperation, only through an effort inspired through our Faith in God, that is the true Faith in God not the True Faith which so festers over the border. The fact only stands to show; an election of two cardinals and a handful of lesser clerics. Only together, like the early Church so persecuted under the Ancient Kingdoms of Man. Like Everard I, we must work diligently despite persecution. Like Daniel I, we must organize the remaining bastions of generacy left in this cruel world. Like Lucien I, we will fight tooth and nail for our place in this world. Only by following the examples set by true men of the faith. We will prevail. God's Will shall be restored."

Ser Frederick, the Prince of Pruvia, swears that the Canonists will always find refuge within his walls and land, sending a missive to the Pontiff. . .
