What is roleplaying?:Roleplaying is where you essentially become someone else entirely, you act out a story as a character, becoming a part of that world and furthering a story/plot, whether in a DnD/Pathfinder session, or a server dedicated to Roleplay such as LOTC

What is metagaming?: Metagaming is when A person takes information learned out of roleplay or OOC, and begins to use it in character(IC) for their own benefit.

What is power-emoting (powergaming)?:Powergaming is when a character has taken immediate power without considering much about the overall story, plot, or how the character would have gotten it in the first place.

 

In-Character Information

Character’s name: Teldram Jav’el

Character’s sex: Male

Character’s race: Dark Elf

Character’s age: 147

Biography  (Please make it a decent two paragraphs long. Remember to add three references to the server lore): (where does your character come from?; where have they traveled to?; what year were they born in? et cetera.)

Teldram Jav’el was born in the year 1468, shortly before the leave of Thales due to harsh weather cpnditions. Teld spent his childhood life in Athera, Exploring the lands’ various ruins, soon leading to his interest in Tinkering, which would become the craft he picked up later in life. Teldran’s family was your run of the mill Dark Elf family, his mother and father staying strict upon him, though still letting him choose where he would begin his study.

 

As Teldram grew older, he took larger and larger risks, until the day he overdid it. Teldram had begun to build a set of explosives that he could not control, the resulting explosion burned the left side of his face, scarring him. This scar turned the Elf slightly bitter over time. Through his ventures in Valior, he was sent to several pubs and gambling matches, usually ending in him having to cough up some supplies, though the matches did eventually create a small fear of certain Races, most notably Orcs of any sort. Though Teld does still drink when he wants and gambles when he knows he has the best odds, gambling matches and pubs in general with Orcs….well he usually just flat out turns and leaves.

 

Now in his Adulthood, Teldram looks for a place to settle and just….well...tinker….with a wife, with a few friends at a pub?

 

Personality Traits: Teldram is logical, coming off as cold hearted at times. He honestly is a decently friendly person to people who take time to get to know him. He has a slight habit of Insomnia, mostly due to him just lying about futzing with random things for no reason.

Ambitions: Teldram is currently aiming to best his skills with creation of different tools and mechanisms to better whatever he can.

Strengths/Talents: Teldram is slighty more adept in hand-to-hand than average, practicing to keep a disciplined mind and body.  His open mind has allowed him to be creative with plans and strategies in tough situations

Weaknesses/Inabilities: Teldram has a tendency to be a bit too cold at times, keeping himself from making bonds and relationships with others most of the time.

Appearance: Teldram is a 6”1, 127lb Dark Elf and has short-ish grey hair, deep red eyes, and a large burn across the left side of his face. The most notable thing about him other than his burn are his sideburns and his goatee adorned across his face. He has a slim build to his body, keeping himself quick over whatever bulk he could amass.
