Sorrow's Escape

Recommended Posts

The slow walk up the winding steps never felt so long. Never before had he felt the wind so cold as he climbed. Never before had Sutica’s colors looked less vibrant. Never had the sun’s warmth waned so much. But he continued, in his sorrow driven climb. At the top of his once beloved temple, the pool surrounded by its beautiful lights the wisps golden, blue, silver and of course white. At the pools side already waiting a long dead body of some lake creature. A relic he had dragged up earlier from the coastline. Though finally, he dropped it into the holy pool dragged it with great effort. He paused looking up into the sky and gave a silent prayer of forgiveness. Finally, he picked up the pitcher he had brought with him and poured its content into the pool. It’s black liquid covering the once pure water. With one final act, he would strike a match and toss it into the black liquid. Only lingering long enough to drop his finely made blue coat into the flaming pool. After which he let out a ghastly cry before diving off into the even colder waters below.

(( A simple post, grammars not great neither is the story but it does what I need it too ))

"Hm, quite a dramatic resignation." A tall mali'aheral muses to himself.
