What’s the rule you agree with the most?: Community Conduct Rule 3, the usage of memeage in role play has gotten really bad on other servers and I'm glad that there's a rule on this server to help prevent it from happening in the first place so nobody's immersion is broken by that one kid that is always trying to be funny in rp through memeing everyone.

What is Roleplaying?: Roleplaying to me is playing the role of a character that you create and interacting with other characters that other people have made to create stories and experiences. 

 

What is Metagaming?: The use of In Character knowledge gained through Out of Character means. Example: Finding out someone's location via Skype and tracking them down to initiate role play. 

 

What is Power-emoting (Powergaming)?: Powergaming is denying the other player a chance to react such as instant killing their character in one move. Example *Tom swings his axe and instantly decapitates Bob.*

Now you actually make your character - be creative but stay reasonable! Make sure they make sense and that they follow lore. Try to come up with a character that you actually want to play.

Biography  (This is one of the most important sections of the application. Please take your time and make it a decent paragraph long. Read up on your character's race and be sure to add at least one accurate reference from the server lore): (where does your character come from?; where have they traveled to?; what year were they born in? et cetera.)

 

 

The man known as Borris Ferguson was born in the year of 1597 to a band of traveling merchants that traveled far and wide to peddle their goods to various buyers and sellers. Life on the road was rugged and harsh for the traveling merchants due to the constant wars and raids that wrecked the lands they found themselves in. Even though he will refuse to admit it and will go to great lengths to do so, Borris was the runt out of all the children that traveled with the group. Constantly being picked on and ousted from the games that the other children were known to play caused him to find comfort with spending more time with his parents to learn the art of peddling goods or mostly buying low and selling high. While he can't claim to have had the best childhood, he can claim to know how to read and has the ability to do math which sets him apart from others. 

 

Eventually his parents realized that their son wasn't suited to life on the road as the traveling merchant band found itself in harsh times and so they sent him to the Kingdom of Lorraine to live with distant relatives. The Ferguson Runt as the others always liked to call him found that life in cities was a lot easier than that on the road. At first he was taken aback when he first saw his aunt for the woman was rather fat but she quickly taught him to love both food and drink which caused him to quickly gain a lot of weight. No longer was he the Ferguson Runt as he picked up weight and learned that other children no longer picked on him. Instead of being picked on and scared to roam around, the young Borris began buying and selling things that he found. Using what little coin he made into buying himself cakes and sweets. His loving and dotting Aunt would raise the Young Borris into the Fat Merchant that he would later become in life something he doesn't regret at all.

 

These days hes known as Borris the Fat or Borris the Trader, two names that he doesn't care if others call him. After leaving the home of his aunt, Borris is determined to make a name for himself and to establish his own small clan somewhere that they can do the family proud. Still residing in the borders of Lorraine, Borris finds himself searching for ways to make a great deal of coin to cease the worries of going hungry. Finding himself worried about the rumors of war between the Coalition and the Oren Empire because he has heard and read that the Coalition once destroyed the Oren Empire before and might do so before but he also finds it amusing how much war his fellow humans wage for their curse of short life spans would make one think that they would value life more since they are given so little time to live. 

 

Personality Traits: (what are your character's quirks?; habits?; likes and dislikes?)  He can rather be charismatic when he wants to but this usually revolves around him trying to scam someone or when it comes to trading. He can be rather selfish and lazy which causes him to value others based on what they can do for him. His greed and slothfulness are two quickly noticeable traits about Borris.  The man doesn't love anything more than food and ale, along with coin its his three main loves in life. However he is very loyal to his Clan and has often surprised himself with the lengths he will go to for them.  

 

Ambitions: (what does your character aspire to be?) The ambitions of Borris revolves around that of wealth and mainly his belly. The more coin he earns for himself and his family, the easier life is and the great choices he has when it comes to eating and drinking for Borris has no desire to die from starvation.

 

Strengths/Talents: (what is your character really, really good at?) Borris is best at trading and managing sources of income such as farms or mines. His management abilities are helped greatly by his ability to read and count.

 

Weaknesses/Inabilities: (what is a skill that your character needs to work on?) Being rather on the fat side of things means that Borris is far from being athletic and makes him to be one of the last men around to get himself involved in a fight or to do anything relating to actual hard work. 

 

Appearance: (what does your character look like?; how tall are they?; hair color?; scars?) Appearing to be a semi successful merchant with the stomach to show for it, Borris stands at average height and hovers around being overweight. The color of his hair is a dark black and it matches his rather unkept beard. He tends to favor adorning himself with gold and silver jewelry when possible while also keeping his clothes clean to look presentable.
