EDICT OF DISBANDMENT

Issued and Confirmed by His Imperial Majesty, Peter II Sigismund of the House of Horen.

At the will of His Imperial Majesty, Peter II Sigismund of the House of Horen, The Imperial Legion is to be considered defunct and due to its inefficiencies, hereby disbanded.

Section I

The Johannian Brigade

 

To replace the dysfunctional Legionary system a single regiment of the Crownlands is hereby instituted to serve the needs of the capital and it’s dependencies. All former Legionnaires fit to serve must submit themselves to this new body.

Section II

The Lord High Constable

 

The Office of Lord High Constable of the Crownlands is hereby instituted to serve in the capacity of leadership over the Johannian Brigade and ensure the defence of the Emperor’s personal estate. The powers and duties of the Office associated are simple ones.

 

• The Duty to protect the capital and her dependencies from any external threat that may arise.

• The Duty to provide a levy when marshalled to assault the enemies of the Empire

• The Power to actively recruit from the reserves of the capital and her Mardonic peasantry.

• The Power to enforce the laws of the Empire within the capital.
