It had been weird coming back to Urguan for Darid. He came back and recognized only few friends that he had made in Athera-Vailor. Despite this, he had come back to lead the dwarven clergy few days after returning and held the position for many years after. He would give it up after no longer having the feeling to lead it, in his place he let his council lead until they would decide his replacement.

 

In the recent weeks though, Darid would start feeling ill. He had returned to Arcadia one night after getting drinks in Tal’Azmar. That night he would go to sleep in his house. That was the last time he had gotten out of that bed though. In the days before his passing he would send letters to his friends.

 

Darid would fall asleep in his bed with his friends by his side, and pass away in his sleep.

It’s okay, Arcadia can be in the sky if that’s what you want. Don’t let people pressure you into putting it on the ground. I might’ve made you a living hero, but you were always a good friend. I thank you for letting me into Arcadia, it made me feel accepted because all the dwarves I had remembered lived there.
