Biography:

Thomas was born in Courland in 1600, shortly after the fall of Oren. The son of a soldier in the Coalition War, he was always filled with tales of the great battles and sieges that led to that nation's fall. Inspired by these, he made it his goal to become a soldier of Courland. Every day he practiced with his friends out in the streets, fighting each other with sticks and brooms pretending they were swords. Whenever the guards or soldiers walked past, he'd give as stiff a salute as possible and yell "God save the king!", much to their amusement. He also developed a great fascination with history in his early years, learning all about the war and the great generals who fought it.

 

When he was still quite young, just in his mid teens, Ruska attacked Courland. Thomas signed up for the army and marched off to battle, eager to fight for his beloved kingdom. The reality of war, however, was very different to his romanticised imagination of it. The battle was brutal defeat for Courland, their troops massacred by the Ruskan hordes. Thomas was one of the few to survive in the retreat at the end, and many of his friends had died in that battle. Shortly after that battle Courland surrendered and joined the new Empire of Oren. Bitter and angry at the defeat and the loss of independence, Thomas left Courland forever. He now wanders the land looking for a new life, while still hopeful that he may some day get his revenge.

 

Personality Traits: The fall of Courland has left him bitter and pessimistic beyond his years, but he still has far-fetched dreams of revenge and the restoration of his kingdom. He's fairly friendly and trusting to strangers, except Orenians.

Ambitions: To become a knight or a noble of some sort, and to get his revenge on Oren.

Strengths/Talents: Good with a blade

Weaknesses/Inabilities: Rashness, short-temper, lazy,
