The Dwarven Research and Scholar’s Guild

 

 

The Dwarven Research and Scholar’s Guild is an amalgamation of the three guilds previously known as the Dwarven Alchemist’s Guild, The Engineering Guild and the Remembrancer’s Guild. The main purpose of this new organization is to promote and regulate Dwarven advancements in the fields of Alchemy and Engineering. We will also be delving into all other methods of science and research such as the establishment of archives, medical advancements, and any other field brought to our attention.

 

The Guild shall be open to all Dwarves within the Grand Kingdom of Urguan, and special acceptance for talented individuals amongst other races shall be permitted. The guild shall be a work in progress and as more members join and their contributions become apparent additional ranks, and branches of the guild may be created.

 

We shall base our studies out of the Scholar’s District of Kal’Omith, previously home to the Khaz’Lordak.

 

Current Fields of Study

 

Alchemy

Alchemy is one of the pinnacles of Dwarven research and ingenuity. The Dwarven Alchemist Guild is credited with the invention and development of many of the world’s most prominent potions. Anyone who wishes to learn the ways of Alchemy from ethics to practice is encouraged to join this field. Students shall be taught by Fili Grandaxe, and members of the Guild that prove themselves adept in alchemical ways will be asked to help in research and development of more alchemical creations.

 

Engineering

Dwarves have long been regarded as the most sophisticated and successful engineers to grace creation. In the Engineering field we shall work to create works of wonder. Some notable accomplishments of the Dwarven Engineering Guild include the invention of steam power, the rune cannon, and bridge-launching balistae among many others. Classes in Engineering shall be taught by Fili Grandaxe and Frerir Irongrinder, members that prove their adeptness shall be asked to aid in future research projects.

 

Remembrancy

 

Dwarven Remembrancers have a long and prestigious history of collecting, preserving, and distributing information. Remembrancers shall be tasked with collecting books and relics and creating archives, libraries, and storages and research sites. This branch of the guild is still in heavy in development, we shall develop it further as time goes on.
