What is Roleplaying?: Changing your mannerisms in order to fill a role, or act as a certain character that isn't you. You speak and act as you were them, immersing yourself into the world they are in.

 

What is Metagaming?: Metagaming is using external knowledge to gain an advantage in a game. Mostly stuff that your character doesn't/shouldn't have knowledge on. You wouldn't call someone by their name if you don't know who they are. If you did, that's metagaming.

 

What is Power-emoting (Powergaming)?: Forcing actions against another player without roleplaying it out or without their consent, such as cutting someone’s arm off in a single swing. Kidnapping someone and torturing them would be powergaming.

 

Character’s name: Thostan Eisenhorn

Biography: Thostan is a violent and unstable dwarf, having recently fully invested himself in the clan. His parents were killed in a raid on the clan when he was just a boy, and they seemed to be the only ones who cared about him, as he had no family left, he started to act out because he felt that was the only way to get the attention of anyone else. He was exiled at a young age for murdering a fellow clansmen during an argument. He was told he could return if he brought back the head of a Minotaur, and the hide of an owlbear, and gave himself to the clan. During his exile, his demeanor only got worse. He lashed out more often, and was volatile to everyone around him. In the years before he returned, he has murdered, robbed, and pillaged his way across Axios. He was imprisoned in The Rock for 3 years, and when he left, he found himself in Jornheim, where his clan awaited him

 

Personality Traits: Thostan is a good person at heart, and is extremely loyal to those around him. He'd accept any task from the clan leaders, regardless of whatever it may be, even if he might not come back. He has issues trusting those who he doesn't know because of the events that happened to him as a child. He doesn't take kindly to insults from anyone, as he will anger quickly and become violent. His emotions are his downfall, if someone brings up his past, it will set him off, blinding him from rationality.

 

Ambitions: To bring glory to the Eisenhorn clan, and kill those who defy them.

 

Strengths/Talents:  Good fighter, a good blacksmith, and a good alchemist. He grew up smelting for the elders, and he enjoys making weapons for the clan still. As he got older, he spent more time learning alchemy, experimenting with different chemicals, eventually learning over time how to make more advanced potions.

 

Weaknesses/Inabilities: Trusts no one that isnt an Eisenhorn. Can let his emotions get the best of him. He refuses to learn anything that isn't hands on, such as diplomacy.

 

Appearance: Tall, dark haired, and built like a rock. Massive arms scarred from burns from alchemy accidents.

• - Biography: Your biography is good, but I suggest you give a backstory as to why Thostan is aggressive and unstable, given most people in such state commonly have a backstory or a spark that causes them to become like this. Is it because of his upbringing? (if so, what was his upbringing like?).
• - Personality: You need to go more in depth with your character. I highly doubt Thostan is just a character focused on being violent and short-tempered, since that will make him not fun to roleplay with. Every character has their good traits and their bad traits, such as they may be violent and aggressive but they are also honourable and tactical, etc. Also - do not list out his traits, please describe them in at least a paragraph.
• - Strengths: I suggest that you perhaps include a mental and an emotional strength as well. That way, your strengths are not purely focused on physical skills. Furthermore, your strengths should have ties back to your character's backstory, such as explaining how he became good at Alchemy, and so forth.
• - Weaknesses: Always have more than one weakness, to balance out your character's strengths. If you're uncertain of what weaknesses to give, I suggest a one physical, one mental, and one emotional weakness each - his violent and unstable nature would certainly be a good emotional and potential mental weakness.
• - Appearance: Go more in depth regarding your character's appearance, such as if he has any tattoos, scars, etc. About his body built, etc. The Minecraft skin is a good representation of your character but it's hard to fully portray a character based on a skin alone.
