The Struggles of Five

Larihei, kae'len cruan sulier, ay'kae vallumer'ehya: Larihei, behold my pain, and weep for me.

 

 

Four elves stand over a pit of treacherous water, filled with promises of treasure, yet protected by militias of Guardians. They look at eachother warily, knowing what they must do. The five mali'aheral look to the roof of the cave, chanting in unision.

 

 

"Larihei, kae'len cruan sulier, ay'kae vallumer'ehya,

Elihnsil, Elberr, kina'ehya, laean kae wynne myumiereyae.

Ay'nae'leh sirame k'taliiyhe, ay'elcihil k' cruare,

il'iylkarim, mirueln thill'ehya ito kae'leh"

 

 

"Larihei, behold my pain, and weep for me,

The spear, the bow and death, these bring me no joy.

For your honor I bleed, for the city I suffer,

with this day, I am silver and red.

 

 

And then, they charged into the water.

The elfess Velulaei continues in her daily life, oblivious to whatever struggles these five elves were apparently going through. She does wonder however where certain Mali'aheral that could've helped her with housing in Haelun'or might've gone. . .
