Who Are the Kadarsi?

The Kadarsi Tribe is a group of Nomadic bedouin like people, mainly people from Haria and farfolks. They were formed out of their wish to remain separate from Santegia-Haria; not because they hated or resented them, but because they Wanted to be independent, not relying on past government, but to create their own. They rely heavily on their culture and traditions. It was formed for the purpose of keeping the farfolks united and to keep the Harian people’s ways alive out of fear that the new merging would take away their culture, and traditions, as well as because of the recent farfolk oppression, And being targeted for their faith of  al’iiman-rashidun. They work as a strong active community and rely on the culture and traditions of honour, bravery, knowledge, warriorship, fairness, hospitality, and most of all respect. The tribe migrates every once and awhile, many of them are warriors, sheep herders, and craftsmen. They rely on trade to keep their people alive and have a strong pride in warriorship; Most families would be prideful if one of them was amongst the warriors of the tribe, known as the ‘Janissary’. They have a ‘Bey’ and a commander of the warriors called ‘Janissary Captain’ who is in charge of commanding the troops. There are officials within the tribe, each with their own jobs assigned to them they are called ‘Sheikh’. The Kadarsi tribe lives within tents and uses horse, something they consider a must-have. The Kadarsi often sell in caravans, as well as talk with nations to try and get agreements of allowing to settle within said nation’s land. The main faith within the tribe is al’iiman-rashidun. Overall the Kadarsi tribe is a community of farfolks and humans. The Tribe’s first leader is Auda Kharadeen, who has been proven to be the Mahdi, “the chosen one”, that was predicted in the Imam rashidun holy books, who was promised to remake the caliphate.

The leaders of the tribe must be respected on the highest levels, as such the leader is to be treated with utmost respect.

Culture

The Kadarsi people have the same culture of the Qalasheen and farfolk people. Honour plays a big role for the farfolk people, and one without honour Is extremely frowned upon. Tradition is an important part as well, traditions ranges from, hospitality, clothing, smithing, and much more.

 

Hospitality

Making any guest feel at home, they would normally give food and drinks, and even allow them to live within their home. It is almost required to treat guests almost like family; Treating guests without any form of hospitality is extremely shameful and leads to dishonour, and goes against the traditions of the farfolk people.

 

Housing/Living Style

The Kadarsi live in tents like their forefathers before the caliphate. The tents are fairly big, having a small fire within them to cook food, with the floor covered with rugs, expected to have Qalasheen couches which have wooden frames to hold cushions and lays on the floor. Their beds are made of a small mattress-like substance, made of cloth and sheep wool a-like any other mattress, yet it is easily rollable for traveling. They live nomadic lives, staying in an area for a few years until deemed the need to move. You would often find swords and bows within the tent as well…

 

Weapons

Like the Qalasheen and farfolk people, they use shamshirs, axes, and daggers as well as bows, with the hilts made of either iron or polished bone or ivory. Almost all weapons are made of Qalasheen steel also known as kadarsi steel. Within the culture all men should know how to use a sword, axe, and dagger and bow as well as any weapon they prefer to use. It is considered pathetic if one does not know how to wield a weapon in the culture, for one should know how to protect his loved ones. For armor, they wear kadarsi steel chainplates, either wearing leather above that and a uniform!

 

Clothing

They wear simple clothing made of leather, and furs, as well as linen and cotton,  and wear turbans. This keeps them cool and warm in any climate they go to. However, due to mix of people in the tribe it is currently mixed. Many simply wear the typical clothing ranging from armor to robes, they all wear either a turban or a kufe.

 

Honor

One is honorable for following their traditions, and doing honorable deeds such as protecting one's guest, defending the women rights from abusement, fighting against tyrants and persecutors, charity to the poor, and many more. Without honor many things would fall apart, so one without honor is very shameful, and not trusted BUT not persecuted. It is very important because honor is something that isn't taken lightly amongst the Kadarsi people, as it is very important to them and they will fight to the death for the sake of it.

 

Hunting

Hunting, janissaries and some men go out hunting, this is done often and it provides exercise and is viewed as men who go hunting are strong and smart men, they often go out with falcons and their goals are to gather furs and meats, but never hunts pigs or boars for they are extremely frowned upon and forbidden to eat and use their skins.

 

Falconry

Falconry is the sport of hunting with falcons or other birds of prey; the keeping and training of such birds. People who have falcons or other birds of prey are looked as brave and clever men as well as patient, for falconry is hard to tame and find such birds.

 

Herding

Herding animals is a large part within the culture, It helps provide food as well as other produce, most animals that are herded are sheep, goats and alpacas as well as cows. They use them for milk, meat, and wool. Though you will never see a farfolk with a pig for farfolks believe pigs are nasty creatures and forbidden to eat or use.

 

Trading

Trading in caravans as well as merchants play a big part, they rely on trading to get tools and other things as well as to sell their wools,rugs and clothing, pots, and weaponry and other simple crafts to gain money to buy food and other goods. They often use camels, donkeys to carry their goods.

 

Dogs

The Kadarsi raise and train dogs for either battle, hunting, tracking, and much more. This is not a thing one sees often, but it is within their culture.

Dogs are indeed very important to the military in some ways, but does not play a often role, though it is a nice sight!

 

Language

They speak qalasheen but they do speak in common tongue. They will often speak in common tongue but throw in some qalasheen words within the sentence

Example: “Salam(hello/hi) Rafiqi(friend) How are you! I have not seen you for a long time, I'm glad i have found you habibi(my love, but is often used as a slang to express brotherly love)”

Zikr is a chant of a group, it is often seen as a song or something people will do together either building or taking their time to sit down and do it.

When doing zikr what they do is they chant words to remind them of GOD, and it is a sort of meditation, when some people will be building and singing, people would normally chant zikr. As well as every once and awhile, they would gather and do a sort of dance in unison, bobbing their heads from one side to the other and chanting.

Traditions

Traditions is going to be hard for me to explain so i'll bulletin it…

• Protect a guest no matter what.

• Hunt deer, bears, and other animals.

• Warriorship.

• Thrive for knowledge.

• Never break a promise.

• Respect all.

• Honour.

• Horseback riding.

• Sheep herding among other livestock.

• Falconry.

• A boy turns to a young man at the age of 16, they are taken by a janissary and taken to a forest or out in the wild to hunt and kill a wolf.

• A young boy starts to learn how to use weapons at the ages around 10-12  depending on the parent’s view of when they should start.

• Extreme prideful for men to become a janissary, maintaining a high level of respect.

• Living nomadic, and within tents.(they stay in a place for LOOONG time cuz….hard to find countries to allow you to stay there….so like...years you would prob stay and then migrate)

System of ranking:

Bey

The leader of the Kadarsi tribe. The bey holds a divine right to the ruling of tribe and holds ultimate power over the the tribe. The bey is the leader of the entire Kadarsi tribe and all who serve the tribe will show utmost respect and utter loyalty towards him. His family has authority to command as well but can not change or give orders over the sultan(example of the name, Auda Bey)

Janissary captain

The janissary captain is appointed to run all martial and police duties and is the commander of the warriors. He is responsible for creating an organization that can function autonomously and maintains the ability to micromanage any function as deemed fit. He is in charge of training and giving the orders of the bey.

Dervish

A dervish, are religious people of the local faith Imam Rashidon, they live in poverty to learn humility, these people, have almost the same respect of a bey because of their lifestyle there is a spiritual feeling around them, however they obey their bey. They are unlike your normal imam, they go deep into their faith and give advice to everyone, they are great spiritual leaders and guide not just Imam Rashidoons but other people, they are great scholars and do meditation called Zikr, as well as other things that will increase brotherhood within their group and united. Though these men are novices to become Imams! thus is why they do such in order to have a full understanding of the faith(I'm gonna try to bring some sufi stuff in cuz it would be fun to see XP, thu they aren't sufis, i just took a small thing they do)

 

Sheikh

A sheikh is a tribe official, the bey tasks each sheikh with their own working. such as heads of either trade, foreign, finance and etc. All sheikhs can vote on certain matters within the headquarters(Meetings such as talks on alliances,migrations,new laws, as well as court cases) but the bey’s choice is a final in all matters. They also have authority over janissaries BUT a very small authority unlike the authority of a janissary captain and bey (example of the Name, Sheikh Saalih)

 

Janissary

Janissaries Are the warriors of the tribe, whey obey the bey over anyone, and follows the orders of the Janissary captain. They also follow orders from a sheikh. They are the pride of the tribe and duty is to protect, and keep order as well as fight in wars for the bey.

The goal is very simple….make a farfolk nation in the long run, we want to one day make it a nation and plan on having it grow Big.
