firegirl7894523 247 Share Posted April 21, 2018 The 30 Strictures, a Guide Scribed by Priestess Carsandra The 30 Strictures are the way for the followers of Yeu to live a contented life, outlined below will follow the reasons why the followers have such of those rules. ~One, one must never find joy in the death of any man, woman, or child.~ Yeu followers grieve the loss of folks, no matter be they criminals, thugs, or normal citizens. This way, we think every spirit deserves to have mourning, no matter how bad the person was in their life. ~Two, it is right for one to be bound in matrimony as to create life mates, but one must never force such a sacred act on another.~ We believe in marriage and in the binds that tie the two partners together, but we never agree with the husband or the wife forcing the act on the other. Lying, manipulating, physical, mental, and emotional abusing to get the other to marry them is a big no. For we see that marriage is only pure if the two partners genuinely wish to get together. ~Three, one must never make love outside of marriage.~ More so that sex is most fulfilling within the context of marriage, and outside the context of marriage it has a propensity to cause problems, such as unneeded pregnancies, and many times one-sided intimacy ~Four, one must restrict themselves from gluttony and drunkenness.~ One must be careful not to get too fat, for too much fat slows down the body and leads to impurities of the lungs, heart, and soul. Drinking too much slows down the brain, leading to poor judgements. ~Five, one must restrict themselves from un-martial lust and intercrouse.~ One that when burns to fiercely burns the person themselves. Unable to fully commit, they bounce from man to man, or woman to woman, never satisfied. Thus, having sex outside of marriage is forbidden, for how can one be happy when moving between men and women like objects? ~Six, one must restrict themselves from taking what is not theirs.~ Stealing another’s property for your own gain is forbidden, for stealing another man’s hard work for greedy hands leads the person down the path of temptation to steal more, to risk their lives and others for the pursuit of false gains. ~Seven, one must restrict their tongue from lashing words, for words are made to build up, not destroy.~ Using words to hurt others for one's gain does not promote kindness, nor does elevate yourself above others. Biting back your scathing tongue is the way not to lower yourself before others harsh words, but to learn to ignore it so you my rise above. ~Eight, one must restrict themselves from needlessly striking out against someone.~ Physically hurting another without just reason, such as in self defense or defense of others, is disallowed. Such only brings down the person to the level of criminals. It is also for justice and following the laws. ~Nine, one must not allow one’s lust for revenge overtake them. Just retribution may be needed, but vengeance is reserved for the Gods.~ Revenge against others for crimes they have committed, no matter how big or small, leads the person down the road to anger and vice. Revenge for things grand, such as murder of family, children, and spouse, is allowed. But full revenge, torture, or other acts, the Gods shall do when they die. ~Ten, one must not deceive or harm one another with words.~ Lying and insulting others only bring the person further away from living pure. Words should be truthful and unharmful. ~Elven, one must not abandon those whom trust one for support.~ Leaving one's family and friends and those one considers for support shows that one is a lier and a falsehood. ~Twelve, one must allow their to not be apathetic to their brother’s burdens.~ One must equally share the pain, guilt, and suffering, it is not race based, but more so those whom you're close with, one's immediate family, and those one would consider close friends or 'brothers', to feel the pain of others is to understand them, and help them through trying times. ~Thirteen, one must respect their family, for they’re of same blood.~ Family brings people together and closer, for without family and without respect for that family, one’s identity is at risk of vanishing. Respecting the ties that brought you to this world. ~Fourteen, one must not show hatred to anyone due to their race, their age, or gender.~ Understanding others despite different appearances is truly the mark of purity, for the looks or manners of another does not determine their value as a person. ~Fifteen, one must restrict from the use of substances which muffle and cloud the emotions as to use to deal with their pain.~ Using substances for physical pain is fine, but using substances to cover mental or emotional pain is not allowed, for understanding your pain and it’s dues. ~Sixteen, one must support all whom are widowed, lame, or otherwise unable to support themselves.~ Those who have lost their limbs or their spouses life will be supported, for they have suffered pain akin to a thousand hellfires. Those people are supported and conslosed, through the acts of kinsmanship and kindness. ~Seventeen, one must not harm any man, or woman without the cause of just retribution.~ If one seeks just retribution against others who have wronged them, one must take into consideration the consequences of those actions. Just doing what's in the law, someone does what's wrong, they're fully due for being reprimanded. ~Eighteen, one must be submit under the discernment of others as to have a understanding of what is brought by Justice, and what is brought by anger.~ Allowing yourself to be lowered under the words of others, allows you to have a greater understand of words separated between anger and due judgement. Those that bring anger simply seek to incite you, and those that bring judgement wish to better yourself. ~Nineteen, one must keep themselves accountable to their spouses. And like hold their spouses accountable.~ Between anything, your partner should always be under your watchful eye. Rule breaking is not allowed in the relationship, though gentle encouragement to return to the correctful ways is only needed in case your partner strays. ~Twenty, one must not allow one’s anger to provoke trouble, and pain.~ Anger and vice leads to problems and pain for others. Keeping your anger in check and not reacting out of anger leads to less problems and troubles that will clog one's mind and soul. ~Twenty One, one must allow themselves to be counted as equal unless proven otherwise by content of character.~ You yourself should be counted as equal, with the same rights and freedoms as any citizen, unless you prove otherwise. Breaking laws and other vile acts will prove to yourself and others that you cannot be trusted to be equal. ~Twenty Two, one must not challenge or disobey those whom are appointed to authority.~ Authority is defined as the power or right to give orders, make decisions, and enforce obedience. Not challenging and not disobeying orders given to you deems you as trustworthy. ~Twenty Three, one must find mercy within themselves to be patient with the mistakes of others.~ Within all creatures lives, many make mistakes that may haunt them for the rest of their lives. Such mistakes may be an honest blunder, and one seeks to find patience to understand their blunders, for no race is perfect. ~Twenty Four, one must find joy in whatever he has, whether little, or great.~ The pursuit of a better life is always ready, but may not be at the moment. If you are homeless and struggling, joy can be found even through the darkest areas. Or, if you find yourself living within a large manor with every comfort, joy also stems from that side. ~Twenty Five, one must find the purest of joys from their spouse.~ Your spouse is, or will be the best thing that happened in your life. Joy from your spouse comes from the joy in your heart, and once that joy is found, it cannot be replaced. ~Twenty Six, it is in due right, and in way of nature that those bound in marriage should enjoy the privileges of sexual intercourse and relations. Yet, it is to be kept between the two life mates, not extending to others and creating such things as orgies or brothels, for they are detestable and disgusting.~ Sex outside of marriage, as orgies and brothels. For the unfaithfulness will stem from your heart and ruin your life. Keeping your lustful loins to yourself and to your partner will extend your happiness. ~Twenty Seven, one must support and nurture their spouse as they would themselves.~ Taking care of your partner as you would yourself, feeding, clothing, and providing love, warmth, and sex. ~Twenty Eight, one must love their spouse more than any worldly thing, or person.~ No material and no person is more important than your partner. Your partners needs are above all else. Between losing your partner, and losing your house, your entire fortune, and every single one of your possessions, you would pick to lose the later. ~Twenty Nine, one must not hide their true nature from their spouse. For it is the true nature of life mates that must be bound together.~ Faults and weaknesses of yourself should not be hidden from your partner, for they will uncover and know of these secrets. Your partner will seek to accept them, in their whole. ~Thirty, one must honor and follow the strictures if they wish to live a pure life, contented, and compassionately.~ As you partake along the journey of Yeuism, following the Strictures will seem difficult, if not impossible. However Yeu is merciful and kind, and while the struggles may be great, using kindness and compassion will get you through the trials of life, and following the Strictures will get one further. Gone 869 Share Posted April 23, 2018 "The Strictures are simple and straightforward, anyone that needs a guide to understand them probably is too young or foolish for the religion. Though this is rather hard to read, honestly... Changes color halfway through and it is hard to notice the actual Strictures that are merely underlined. Could use a formatting change." Despite her opinion Cheza tosses the document into her files for holding onto and then resumes her sewing.
