The King's Errant Quests

Errants are quests that allow a Knight or aspiring Knight to perform noble exploits in service to their King or one of his vassals, traveling either in pursuit of a specific duty that his overlord charged him with, or to put down evildoers in general. All noble sons of Renatus-Marna are committed to the path of knighthood from the moment they are born. A young noble is not honored until he has proven his worth. The most glorious and true way for a young knight to fulfill his calling is to test himself against a foe on the field of battle.

Current Errant Quests:

 

• [Simple] The King’s Library. The King’s Librarian requests rare books to be brought to him, depending on the book’s he may award and errand or a sum amount of crowns he deem’s worthy of the rarity of the book. (Contact Shady_Tales)

1. Specific book request: Tome of Necrology by Lord Adrian Rothesay - One Errand

• [Common] The Royal Ranger, suspects that a band of bandits have setup camp deep in the Kings Forest. Each bandit ear shall be worth fifty crowns, the bandit leaders head shall be worth a hundred. Two errand award as well. (Contact 7lo)
• [Common] The King is interested in obtaining a large ruby gem, it is rumored that one of them exists under the caverns of Renatus-Marna. Five errands. [Contact 7lo]
• [Epic] The Royal Mapmaker, requires a scout to map out the frozen southern wastes. The Errand has been raised a level, as the Legion has lead a expedition and sustained injuries due to surprise attack by a Frost Wyvern, which lead to their retreat. The rewards are now ten errands and two thousand crowns.
• [Epic] The Royal Engineer, requires brave men to scout and map out the caverns underneath Renatus-Marna. - Ten Errands

Lords, and Citizens may request that certain objectives or needs of theirs  become an Errant Quest. This may be brought to the King or Ser Carlovac Rogachev attention and if it is deemed a worthy exploit they may assign it as such.  

 

Completed Errant Quests:

 

• [Common] The Ogres of the King’s Forest. The Royal Forester, has recently reported large tracks and eaten elk and deer stripped bare and the bones crushed. The Forester suspects two ogres to have taken up residences within the forest a mating pair. Whomever brings the heads of these two ogres to Ser Carlovac Rogachev shall earn a completed errand and three hundred crowns. (Contact Islamadon for the roleplay) :  The Royal Legion
• [Difficult] The Royal Demigryph Stables. The Head Groom, is requesting two golden Demigryph eggs. Five errands, knighthood, or advancement of knighthood rank, the King’s acknowledgment and favor. Slaying the Demigryphs is forbidden.  - Ser Rubens
