From the hands of Slaver Nagg’Raguk the barbs flew and made the sound both revered by orkish slavers and feared by those on the receiving end; the barbs slashing the revelling the uruks found themselves asunder with its call, and they were quick to heed it.

 

No sooner had they rallied, they swarmed out along the roads, snatching up passersby as was the tradition of long past. Elves mainly comprised the stock, which the Rex turned his nose at, for they were far too weak for manual labour; but regardless shovels were thrust within their grips and they were set to work.

 

“We’re diggin’ in boyz!” Cried he, the Rex himself. By his side stood the Yazgurtan and the Targoth who quickly stepped forth to ensure the slaves bided to the Rex’s words. A firm whip crack, smack upside the head or even worse was on the table if they decided not to abide to his words.

 

For hours thereafter, the groaning of elves in some sick symphony filled the air. Percussed by the sound of shovel striking dirt, whip cracking the air or the back of an exhausted slave, they toiled endlessly until lo and behold the trenches had been dug.

 

The orks had dug in. And they were here to stay.
