[Question] Character Question

I don't know if this is the correct section to post this in, but I was wondering some more about characters.

I am looking to create a criminal/organized assassin character and was wondering if anybody had any tips on how to make a well-thought out character instead of just running up and down a road being like: "gIvE mE yOuR mOnEy". If anybody has any tips they are willing to share for me to create a character that is fun to play, and fun for others to rp with, please feel free to tell me.

Thanks!

Although you dont have to do this exact way, i think it'd be interesting to somehow provide a small storyline to the city, like dead bodies scattered that have to be investigated, maybe make a really complex sewer system, and ask if an ET wants to help you out, etc.

Ah. Alright. Me and one of my LOTC friends are creating two assassin characters that know eachother, and I was wondering the best way to go about it. Getting ETs involved might be good for some parts of the storyline, though. Thanks!

Generally just try to avoid the really clique way of killing people and avoid being edgy.

It's respectable that you're actually trying to avoid being a cliché bandit by adding some background and depth to your character, more than I can say for a few other players...

Yeah. I've been trying to get help from people to make a good character that if they were to encounter in a rp, they would enjoy rping with.

Find motives to why you are committing your crimes. Has your character been traumatized by his past? If so, does it affect his daily life? etc.

I always find it best to make a character with little pre-determined events or interests in their life, and simply let the roleplay decide it. Perhaps one day he's struggling for bread on the streets and is starving yet sees a small strange boy skulking around pickpocketing people which gives him the idea to do so too. He might not be good at it at first, however he develops over time etc

Moved to The Great Library. It shall be sorted into the appropriate category shortly.

If you feel this is a mistake, please contact myself or any FM and we'll restore it.
