Dakirennis 959 Share Posted October 12, 2018 Dak’ir settled beneath fresh willow in Velunor’s new housing area. His students left for the evening and the moon’s familiar gaze soon peeked over Valleinor’s high peaks. After weeks of work and the blood, sweat, and tears of a few unwilling captives to appease the Spirits. The harbor had been fixed up following the recent volcanic activity. Expansion came with the repairs, homes for the new followers. Though many still remained hollow. The tired shaman soon rose from his place upon the tree, wandering the path to the nearby totem he’d created in dedication to the Mother Moon, Luara. Blood and the strands of white hair from a mutant still dotted the altar before the great totem, from a recent sacrifice. Tapping his staff twice against the stone he’d bow his head once to the totem before quickly departing again. Despite Dak’ir’s tenancy to slip away from the mortal world from time to time, the moment had finally come to bring his people together once more. His true kin, sons and daughters of the Spirits. That night, the squeaks and chirps of chittering grey jays scattered from Velunor and to the lands beyond... Spoiler “Greetings my kin, some of you may already know of me. I am Dak’ir Des’Nox, servant of the ‘Ker, Ancestors, and Spirits. I write to you all today in hopes of finding others like myself and those I’ve gathered here within Caras Eldar and it’s harbor of Velunor. I offer shelter, peace, and knowledge to the wayward ‘Ker that seek home and their spiritual enlightenment. A place to build a life under the watchful eyes of the Ancestors once again. Homes will be provided for free to any ‘Ker seeking a homestead in the harbor. May the Ancestors watch over you on your path here, my kin. Mother Moon’s Blessings.” Primarch Dak'ir Des'Nox
Slothtastic 761 Share Posted October 12, 2018 “Is he worshipping the Aspects and the Spirits? Ya know, the two sworn enemies of one another?” Asked an Ork who decided not to say this in blah because it’s difficult for him to speak with autocorrect

__WaterFox__ 636 Share Posted October 12, 2018 Neci pursed her lips and shook her head at the notice before penning an open letter " Dearest Uncle, if I am even allowed to call you that after you threatened to my entire family murdered, is this another of your quick periods of leading? Are you still going to ask us to follow the 'greater ancestors' whom were horrendous criminals and people who are perhaps more important to you then our people as a whole? Are you going to be offended by my words again then place a bounty on my head to make sure I stop asking questions you can't seem to answer? If not then maybe the ker will finally have the society they deserve, but given your history I will warn every ker who decides to take up your offer to not blindly follow you and to look into their history for themselves lest the mali'ker are once again driven into the dirt by inept or absent leadership. - Neci Vincrute"
Criala 729 Share Posted October 12, 2018 Beneath the light of the moon, Lielle made her way to the totem dedicated to Luara. As she did, she passed by Dak'ir, offering her husband a smile and quick kiss before he continued on his way. She turned her attention to the totem, silent as she dipped her head to it. After a couple of moments, she lifted her head. With one last look at the totem, she turned to head home, careful not to disturb any of the flowers she'd recently planted throughout the area. It had taken a lot of work to get everything done, but the hard work had paid off, and it was time for their kin to join them once again.

After I’d had you exiled for spitting falsities of the Ancestors and Spirits, and no bounty has ever been placed on your head. There’s no purpose in killing you in such a manner, nor is it worth the thought or mina. Yes the Ancestors have a bloodied past, no matter how many times I had explained that to you, Khel was a murderer and once a mori sympathizer. Blessed Ancestors, he used to hunt for dryads in Darkhaven’s forest. But he atoned for his sins when his unresting spirit came to Athera. However in your own naivety, you forget that your own family was part of that inactive leadership. You’d had been given the opportunity then to exact all the wonderful ideas you spewed to me, but you didn’t. And while yes, I have of course been inactive, my training was the only way I could learn. I planned on stepping down centuries ago though my duty is still my duty. And I will do my best to carry it out as I always have. But between gender confused younglings and your incessant complaining, no I do not want that present among what I am trying to achieve or even the Dominion itself. I make this home not for any ‘Ker but those true enough who wish to know the Primordial Truth, our origins and history, our culture, the truth you kept demeaning but I simply did not know an elven year ago. But you couldn’t understand that because you wanted it now, like a child. And I am tired of you stamping your feet like one when you do not get your way.”
Inferno_Ougi 1454 Share Posted October 13, 2018 ”Noted.” Glottgut took the letter from the Yeller with his left hand, as his right held up a Krug & Co (TM) Cigar, filling his own blarg with smoke. He raised an eyebrow upon reading, but after finishing he spat on it and took his cigar and pushed it into the paper, setting the missive alight. You put shades like Kaldo as the examples of our society and then you would refuse to admit that you barely knew anymore about our history than the rest of us then when I questioned you on both you decided that I was outright besmirching our ancestral faith. Just out of curiosity, does my aunt even know you threatened to have her Vincrute family murdered because you couldn’t handle words? Do not even pretend to be better than me, Dak’ir, you are no innocent or even great man. You could have at the very least admitted you knew nothing and then STOPPED teaching your apparently inaccurate views, views that angered Luara, till you actually had the truth. Now, why do you insist on having our kin worship outright criminals as paragons of our society? Our Princess Velulaei, our first guide and leader would surely replace Khel. Yes, she is on the record as having slaughtered many of Malin’s children, but then she redeemed not only herself but all of our ancestors with her devotion to Luara and Khruul. Speaking of Luara and Khruul, I would hope they have taken place of Kaldo and whoever that baker was that apparently raised you – Neci Vincrute”
