[!] Fabio Bracchus finds the nicest winter apparel he owned; a black trench coat, with a crimson dress shirt underneath. It was about all he could afford, after all. The chef then exited the Krepost, addressing the huddled masses in the square, packed together in order to combat the looming cold.

[!] The city of Markev, 1682

“My fellow Hansetians,” began the commissioner, “It’s wit’ great hona’ that I’s get’s to formally submit my bid fo’ Maer of Markev, as tha’ CCP nominee. Thi’ city’s been misrepresented by a reactionary administration fo’ a term too long, n’ it’s time we get’s a new leader in tha’ seat, stroonz. I’s a blue colla’ worker, but my experience as tha’ election commissioner pro’lly overqualifies me fo’ the job, it does. Fo’ four years now, I’s been in Carolustadt, helpin’ to usher in a new era’f democracy t’ legislative politics. Now’s, I want’a give back to my ‘ome town, by servin’ as your elected municipal administrata’. Our campaign is fightin’ for a comprehensive jobs program, ensurin’ tha’ every citizen of Markev ‘as a stable income wit’ registered employment. We’s need to bolster our military and t’ reorganize our armed forces in orda’ to succesfully adapt to tha’ combine threats’f the Vaeyl n’ increased snowstorms. We’s ‘ought to enact stricta’ immigration standards, which screen newcomers to’s our city. Businesses’ll need mo’ customers’f course, which is why we’s is goin’ to be holdin’ so many festivals, you’s’ll be tired of all the coin you’ll be makin’!”

“We need to hold government to’a higher standard, n’ make sure they’s is workin’ for us, not the otha’ way ‘round. I’ll make sure you’s is gettin’ the most out’f your coin, amico.”

“And rememba’, vote F-A-B-I-O fo’ Maer – your livelihood n’ your gut both depend on it.”

[!] Fabio walks back into the Krepost, slipping out of the formal attire, and changing back into his work clothes. He’d hum a light tune all the way down into the kitchen whilst tying his apron.

If Antanios had been able to read this, he would have been proud of Fabio.

Albert, who’s been around Markev, snickers ‘pon reading. “Wasn’t he election comissioner and cook?”
