The Imperial Legion Medical Regiment is a specialization of The Imperial Legion dedicated to the duty of saving lives and protecting our soldiers and populace.

The Medical Regiment is divided into two subsets. Combatant, and Noncombatant.

DESIGNATION

Combatant medics wear a standard uniform with a sash of a red medical cross upon their right arm.

Noncombatant medics wear whatever clothing they may wish alongside a purple medical cross upon their right arm, to show certification of The Imperial Imperial Legion and Renatus.

DUTIES

The duties of medics vary, depending on designation.

Combatant medics are treated as Imperial Legionnaire first, and medic as a subset or specialization. They are expected to attend trainings, skirmishes, rallys, and warclaims, and will be judged for such. However, as a specialized medic, they are also expected to work alongside noncombatant medics, healing injured Legionnaires and Civilians. In the event of combat, a combatant medic must make the choice of saving lives alongside noncombatants or aiding in the battle, treating and saving lives afterwards.

Noncombatant medics are treated as civilians, with no authority over civilians or populace anymore than a regular civilian. However, they are not expected to attend anything The Imperial Legion may offer or run, besides Imperial Legion Events, and may be requested for an occasional training as a teacher. These medics are expected to treat civilians and Legionnaires as a priority in their daily lives. Noncombatant is strictly a non-fighting role unless volunteered, and during fighting will be expected to save the lives of others through medical care outside the range of combat.

RANKING, AUTHORITY

Combatant medics follow standard Imperial Legion ranking and authority, with an ordinary chain of command following higher ranking Legionnaires and Royals.

Noncombatant medics follow orders from standard civilian authority, obeying Legionnaires and Royals alike as anything higher than them.

Medics have no individual or specializing ranks, as they are considered a specialization rather than its own hierarchy.

HOW TO JOIN

To join either as a Combatant or Noncombatant medic, you must approach a Legionnaire in Helena (Renatus) and they may direct you to an Officer (If they aren’t one) to recruit you. A Combatant will go over a recruitment process like a regular Legionnaire, while a noncombatant will be more of a certification with a trial.

BENEFITS

Combatant Medics get the advantage of increased opportunities for pay, and benefits of a standard Legionnaire (Covered armor, food, access to the Imperial Legion base and gatehouse)

Noncombatant medics get a reduced pay of standard Legionnaires, but get access to The Medical Bay, alongside a low-tier set of key access to the Imperial Legion base, and may be covered food and medical supplies should they not have their own.
