THE 90th GRIEVANCE

The sun rose high ahead as another day of war loomed over the Imperium Renatum, the realm was thrust into chaos and disarray, yet let it be known and clear that Renatus initially thrived in such an environment; it shall do so again.

And, as expected, the bells tolled as the denizens of Helena gathered around the guillotine - another man had been brought forth by Ser Rodrik to answer for treason in the only fathomable way possible, death.

The man ushered on to the structure was another signatory of the Nenzing proclamation.

Nedric Arkazniv

And this man, so confident of the rebellion that he backed? He acted like a coward, lied of any involvement in the proclamation and decreed his signature was forged and had no rightful place upon the parchment.

Alas, he would lose his life, which is the punishment destined for all signatories of such a pitiful pact. The words were chimed, the iron was released and a head rolled promptly. In the crowd, a common phrase was spoken aloud. “Another grievance, grievance 90, Ave Godfrey.”

“Lies! Nedric is alive and well! The 90th grievance is that every last one of you is a liar!” The author would rip the missive in his hand.

”We are going to try and call other people out for using ‘illegal undead magicks’ to bring Renatus people back to life but god help us if we adrians admit the same, even though witnessed from public execution!” Cried the random adrian.

“Guys please, the head basket is filled to the brim, and they’re rolling out onto the city streets. The children are grotesquely using them to play soccer.” protests Ser Carlovac.

Pierre, a young Auvergne lad, uses a head to play keepy-uppy.

Rajirra, the kitten, smacks the head with her paw, thinking it’s a toy. She then licks the blood from her fur, first thinking it was candy... but sadly mistaken.

What a stupid kitten!

Loud grunts and moans could be heard from the Basarab Tower in the dead of the night after the execution. Echoing throughout Ves. Were they related?
