“To Longbeard Zahrer Irongrinder,

On when we met perchance in the halls of the Prikaz, I write this;

In northern halls brothers met

One of gold, one of stone

Of blood ancient and history ‘twined

Sealing friendship for two realms in divide

Remembering days of yonder’s past

The great wars which tormented lands

Of Will the Weak and the Delver King

And the myths the poets and bards sing

Glorious were the bounties of the past

But so was the blood and lost everlast

Regret of sins once committed

And defense of the future’s transgressed

Met as friends and left the same

Peaces in our realms for all days

Sealed in ink and drink and the joys

From both the old and meek

Yet in the question dared asked

About the terror upon the mannish class

Claims of division came to outlast

Seeing us different from lands we live

In the world, divinely sculpted

Consists of our realm of soil above

And your realm of stone below

But is it not all of the same earth?

Yours sincerely,

Upon the day of our Lord GOD,

7th HOREN’S CALLING 1716

Joseph I, Holy Orenian Emperor”
