Pretext OOC information: 

[[ The lotteries of Llyria will be run by my Farfolk character Sakura. If you win a lottery or multiple lotteries, you will need to contact her in character. How to participate and how to have a chance at winning these lotteries will be listed below. You can find the ticket shop right next to the notice board near the entrance of Llyria.]]

 

Who I am and why I have made the lotteries: 

I am Tsagukan Sakuramichi. I am an Easterner that currently lives within the Llyrian Concord. I have found that games of chance are very enjoyable. Due to this, I have decided to open up a lottery for people to win. I do like entertaining people and bringing smiles to their faces. Not only do I get to provide entertainment, but I will also be providing myself and Llyria with a means of having an income. I wish you luck in your lottery.

 

How the lotteries work:

At the end of each year [[one irl week]], five sets of numbers will be drawn for each lottery [[using /roll]]. Any person who has matching numbers [[/roll(s)]] will win from a portion to the entirety of the lottery depending on how many sets of numbers match.

 

 Matching one set of numbers of a lottery will mean you win one fifth (1/5) of that respective lottery. Matching two sets of numbers of a lottery will mean you win two fifths (2/5) of that respective lottery. Matching three sets of numbers of a lottery will mean you win three fifths (3/5) of that respective lottery.  Matching four sets of numbers of a lottery will mean you win four fifths (4/5) of that respective lottery. Matching five sets of numbers of a lottery will mean you win five fifths (5/5), or all of that respective lottery.

 

How to participate:

Travel to Llyria and find the shop of Llyrian Lotteries. Purchase as many plaques as you want from as many of the different lotteries as you want. Look on the back of your plaque(s) for the lottery numbers. Do not lose the plaque. You will need to turn it in as proof of purchase if you have one or multiple sets of matching numbers. I will publicly announce the winning numbers as the end of each year. 

 

If more than one person has matching numbers, the person with a higher amount of matching numbers will win. If two people have the same amount of matching numbers, the winnings will be split in half between the two participants.

Using minecraft’s screenshot keybind, take 2 screenshots of your entire screen in succession while keeping the chat open. Save the second screenshot somewhere away from other players and disregard the 1st screenshot. ]]

If you have matching numbers, come find my character, have your wooden plaque ready, and make sure you have the 2nd screenshot for proof of the matching rolls. If you win any part of a lottery, you can not use the same set of numbers for the next week. A lottery plaque and its corresponding rolls will expire at each drawing at the end of the week. After expiration, they can not be used for lotteries. ]]

 

Where to find me:

Most of the time, I can be found in Llyria wandering about the square or tavern. At the end of each year [[one irl week]], I will publicly announce the numbers in the square. This will be the most opportune time for you to contact me.

The Llyrian Lowball

Meant to be a small lottery for folks that can’t afford the larger ones, this lottery is cheap and you are more likely to win this one. It costs 50 mina to purchase a plaque. The base pot was 200 mina, and growing.

The Balancer

This is the medium lottery that most folk that sit in a fair spot money-wise. You are less likely to win this one than you are to win the Llyrian Lowball, but more likely to win than Dragon’s Breath. It costs 100 mina to purchase a plaque. The base pot was 1000 mina, and growing.

Dragon’s Breath

This is the most expensive, yet most rewarding lottery if you win. Your chances of winning this lottery are far less than that of the lower lotteries. That being said, to win this one will mean you will be set up well for quite a while. It costs 200 mina to purchase a plaque. The base pot was 5000 mina, and growing.
