Lukariatias 524 Share Posted July 9, 2019 A RIGHTEOUS CHALLENGEIn the Concord of Llyria Be it decreed, stated openly and with confidence, that I, Cassian Colborn, do challenge Ithemar for the position of Lord Consult/Envoy. It is my firm belief that the competence of the aforementioned Elf, commonly known as Ithemar, is exceptionally lacking in all manners of governmental work. He is a failure of an Elf and a man, and a failure of a member of the Lordy Council. His work has consistently shown to be lacking and incomplete, and his multiple absences from official meetings and important events have been duly noted, most importantly the recent visitation of the Holy Orenian Empire. My own competence has been compounded across the many years of my lengthy life, from my early military service to the Kingdom of Haense, to my later administration of the Colborn estate on the isle of Axios. Upset not by my great disappearance, my years spent wandering the wastes of the old world of Asulon, before my reappearance on the present isle of Arcas. Upon my reemergence I immediately resumed righteous service to the Republic of Ves, where I presently serve as Underclerk of Zoning, and where I served, for twelve years, as ‘First-Among-Equals’ of the Serene Assembly. I currently serve Llyria as a Steward under the Echelon of Oversight, and as founder and current head of the Frond Society, a non-druidic conservationist organization. I have worked consistently to assist in the planning of the city’s many expansions, working especially in the department of parks and gardens. My experience dealing with folk, both common and noble, as well as those religious and royal, is extensive to such a degree that it is hardly able to be rightfully or fully elaborated. Signed,Cassian Colborn

Thomas 3014 Share Posted July 9, 2019 [ Flavour ] From the davenport of the Empyrion falls a response to the challenge established for the positon of Lord Envoy. Addressed and published for public awareness, the response would follow ”Dear Ser Colborn, On behalf of the Concord, I wish to thank you for your diligent service and impeccable stature in the face of adveristy in management of topics which have fallen to your desk. As per your right as a Denizen of the Concord, you are entitled to challenge a position upon the Lordly Consul at any given time. It would appear that this right has been exercised, and as such it will be taken with due process and respect. The process has now been set in motion. The current Lord Envoy has a total of three days to make his response to your contestation to prove his right and worth to maintain his position, and to counter your propsal of merit. As we stand in the beating heart of the realm, so too must we push against fear to revel in it’s blood. As the acting monarch and Empyrion of the Llyrian Concord, I hereby accept the validity of your disputation and permit it to progress. I shall evaluate the ongoing battle of wits personally, and eagerly sit upon the edge of my seat to see who shall emerge victorious. Your faithfully, Ithrendas Regis of House Iyliar, Empryion of the Concord, Guardian of the Primordial, and Paragon of the Ohric Will. With the acceptance of this challenge, Ithrendas verily sat far back into his chair in contrast to his written word. He sighed, signing off the document and passing it to a Keeper to distribute.
