Arthur, the newly minted Cardinal Helena, seeks time to reflect upon his relationship to God in the Cloister Garden. However, to his astonishment, it had fallen deep into disrepair--perhaps comparable to a trebuchet ridden battlefield, rather than the garden of the Empire’s Basilica. 

 

“This Cloister is a disgrace and unfit for purpose. Surely the seat of the Empire, and soon to be home of the Holy See, deserves far better?” The Cardinal says while looking around himself. Arthur then places a quill to parchment drafting a call for builders, in a holy competition.

“Citizens of the Empire, GOD calls upon you with perhaps the holiest task the city of Helena has ever seen;

 

The Basilica of the Final Revelation has fallen into a state of decay and is in dire need of renovation. The timing could not be more prudent, for it seems that Helena is undergoing modernization. I, Cardinal Arthur, reach out to the four corners of the Empire, in search of our nation’s finest builders. This service to GOD will be rewarded generously in coin.

 

I imagine that the number of applicants for such a feat will be great in number, which is why I have decided to propose a great competition. Those interested will meet together with myself and my fellow clergymen- there you will be tasked to construct in the name of our Holy Mother Church. The rules are simple; The man with the greatest creation gets the job and the accompanying mina!”
