Piov 2643 Share Posted January 28, 2020 CHANCELLOR’S REPORT, 1752 13th of Harren’s Folly | Msitza and Dargund 305 ES Va Birodeo Herzenav ag Edlervik, Before I begin my address, I seek to call on all Haensemen in remembrance upon the death of His Holiness, Pontian III. May God hear us as the entirety of Man mourns the loss of our Holy Father as we pray for the Holy Church to a worthy successor to the Pontificate. I have just been to Ekaterinburg Palace where I had an audience with His Majesty the King and the Lord Regent where they asked me to form a government. I accepted. The work that lies ahead of us, while long and arduous, will be fulfilled. Firstly, I seek to thank my predecessor for all he has done to toil and serve our people. I commend him for his service to the kingdom. Whether you supported or disagreed with the agenda of the last premiership, I speak to you directly in the spirit of partnership, not partisanship. We must cast aside the prejudged difference we hold. We must enter the halls of governance not bounded by the factions of bench affiliation but of the common agreement that the success of this province requires our entire resolve to set aside this division. Our heritage was built on the context of struggle where we as a people defied the odds and strove to reach the dreams we sought after. When the royal pedigree was conferred to our nation in 1578, we reaffirmed our determination and consecrated this land anew. It is not the physical terrain that I speak about, but the collective spirit of a Highlandic people who have never yielded in their values. When it was against Coalition Forces who sought to undermine the fabric of Imperial unity, our kingdom always stood to preserve the rightful order. When our sovereignty was threatened by the Courlandic forces, we toiled to reform our national pride. When we were called to pledge our piety in the fight against heresies in the Third Crusade, we united to combat unholiness. In the past half century, our kingdom has experienced a chaotic state of affairs. The War of Two Emperors placed our people in a state of disarray where the very notion of our survival was put to the test. We knew that sacrifice, and nothing short of this mandate, was required of us all. Since the dark days of the Troubles, we have advanced forward as a bulwark of Orenian values and Canonist virtues. In our present time, we must ensure that Haense will continue to withstand the test as our ancestors have successfully done. We must redefine the Haeseni identity, define the meaning of progress and modernity, and strive to make a unique and modern province in an Empire that proceeds with greatness and determination to perfect the meaning of unity. In an age of liberties, enlightenment, and modernity, it is not the typical response of the Haensemen to be reactionary, flustered, and afraid. We have defined ourselves with each generation that passes. Now, it is charged that we do the same today. I urge you all to reflect on this with profundity. Our goal in this time should be nothing short of protecting the peace and stability of the social order. We have achieved an unprecedented state of prosperous unity. Haense must live up to its role as a stalwart advocate of these affairs. Our military is strong. Our people are growing in wealth. Our fields are abundant and our cups are full. Greatness in us comes from the unity we preserve within the Empire and with the values we must uphold. Loyalty to our God, loyalty to our Emperor, loyalty to our King, and loyalty to our spirit must be our inseparable creed. How we manifest this remains our destiny to fulfill. The way we must move forward is not to regress, but to look at the spirit and determination of those who came before us and become pioneers of our own time. Generations from now will say of us living of all the ways we consecrated our time with our talent. How should we define ourselves in this age? Who are we and what do we seek? As the treatise by the author John Walker, it is thus that “the Haeseni identity: the relationship between the individual man, his ambition, and the wilderness that was his home.” Signed, His Highness, Prinzen Georg Lothar of the House of Barbanov-Alimar, Lord Palatine of the Kingdom of Hanseti-Ruska
CaptainZenny 150 Share Posted January 28, 2020 Ser Markus Kortrevich smiled as he read over the missive. He leaned back in his chair, a carefree expression dancing upon his features. “Free at last, free at last..” the Knight would mumble with glee. He’ll be an amazing Lord Palatine.”
