Angelika Eleanora Vanir for Maer!

For “a better and brighter Haense.”

 

Priveja, citizens of Haense. I would like to begin by introducing myself to you all. My name is Angelika Eleanora Vanir and it is my privilege to be running for the position of Maer. While I am the youngest candidate running for Maer and will most likely be disdained for this reason, I would like to assure each and every one of you that I am capable of such a vital position in our kingdom. As Maer of Haense, I plan to achieve a number of goals that will help improve our city, relating to our kingdom’s tavern, economy, and events.

 

The first of these goals would be to expand upon and improve our tavern. I will continue to upkeep the facility as well as expand upon it by hiring more barkeeps to ensure service is as quick as possible. I will also hire regularly scheduled bards in order to keep tavern goers entertained, and regularly schedule tavern dances, games, and events. I would also like to broaden the drink selections available at the tavern to provide the citizens of Haense with a larger variety of drinks while still upkeeping the same high production of our esteemed Carrion Black, along with other drinks currently being served.

 

The second of these goals relates to the economy of Haense. While we are thriving economically, there is always room for improvement, and my plan will help to not only upkeep our current economy, but expand and improve among it. My plan is to make the process of buying and obtaining a shop or a merchant stall easier and more widespread, while also imposing harsher regulations on the upkeep of shops and stalls. Execution of this plan would result in a greater amount of high quality and available goods for sale.

 

The third set of goals relate to public events within the kingdom. As Maer, I would keep the citizens of Haense entertained with countless events and gatherings. Some of my plans include auctions, award ceremonies, cabarets and talent shows, balls, festivals, theater performances, and sparring tournaments. Each and every one of these events would be beneficial to Haense as well as to the people of Haense. These events would bring the kingdom together in joyous activities that would promote our unity and image.

 

Finally, my last set of goals fall under a miscellaneous category. As Maer of Haense, I plan to start up an official charity organization that will provide food, clothes, and shelter to the less fortunate. I also plan to institute a law requiring all children under 14 to attend some form of schooling as illiteracy is an issue that plagues the kingdom. My final plan would be to set up an official suggestion box where all citizens of Haense may file suggestions to the Maer. As Maer, I will be certain to read and consider each and every entry.

 

I would like to conclude by thanking Ser Siegmund Wick for his service as Maer to our kingdom. He has worked strenuously to upkeep and improve the wellbeing of Haense and it’s citizens. By electing me as Maer, I promise to continue and expand upon his work to create a better and brighter Haense. AVE HAENSE!
