THE VALWYCK COMPROMISE

With tensions rising between the signatories of The Valwyck Pact and the members of the Alimar regency government, it has been decided that a fair and equal compromise be met between the two sides in order to maintain peace in the realm. The purpose of this compromise is to address all the grievances the Pact has, as well as to confirm the legitimacy of the Alimar government. Both parties shall take the following actions:

 

Actions to be taken by the Alimar Regency:

 

1. The Alimar Regency is to guarantee the continuation of the Duma for the duration of the Regency. Crown authority shall remain at High.
2. The law regarding the stripping of noble land or title given a valid cause shall be reworded to make clear what a valid cause is. Specifically, a valid cause shall be defined as being guilty of any crime against the Kingdom of Hanseti-Ruska.
3. The Regency shall conduct a review of other vague or outdated laws with the assistance of a representative of the Valwyck Pact. This chosen representative shall be the Lord Justiciar, Count Konstantin of Metterden.

 

Actions to be taken by the Valwyck Pact:

 

1. Signatories of the Valwyck Pact are to renounce any doubts regarding the legitimacy of the Alimar Regency.
2. The Pact is to concede the belief of land entitlement to nobility when amending the codex alongside the Regency.
3. The Pact is to concede the belief that the Royal Decree of 305 ES invades the rights of the nobility. This means the Regency retains the authority to halt construction for approval, but cannot decline a project because of the style of a build. Instead, acceptable declination include that of size, grandeur, and defensibility.

 

With the grievances of the Pact hereby declared solved, it is to be reduced to a military alliance and trade agreement between signatories.
