Penned by Alderman-Ser Osvald Anton Barclay, 1760

Introduction

During The Royal Election of 1759, the People of Hanseti-Ruska were presented with a dichotomy, in which they were to pick between two options. An term of prosperity and representation, or a term of stagnation that emphasised quantity over quality. The result of said election would reveal that the former option has been picked by the populace of Haense, who granted me a landslide victory. Fuelled by the confidence of the Haeseni people in my initiative, I shall hereby seal in writing my promises for the people of Hanseti-Ruska, by the end of my term.

Co-operation

“Zusammenarbeit”

In order to make progress that stretches beyond party expediency, and quarrelsome coalitions, co-operation within the benches are necessary. Within my campaign, I have promised a far greater effort in unity and collaboration with the Centralist and the Cross-Bench representatives. Under my term as an Alderman, the quarrelsome relationship between the benches shall be put aside, in order to truly achieve progress. By the end of my term as Alderman, I promise that I shall co-sponsor three bills, along with the Centralist or Cross-Bench representatives, to bring forth a culture of unity and cohesion.

Military Representation

“Militärische Vertretung”

As a member of the military, my main agendas within the Duma had always been greater representation for the rights of the Brotherhood Of Saint Karl, and other servicemen within its fold. Given that %40 of my supporters are from the Brotherhood, a military agenda is a must-have. Alongside my cousin Erwin Barclay, I shall propose 2 bills regarding the livelihood of the Brotherhood by 1760.

Clerical Agenda

“Klerikale Agenda”

As an era of religious prosperity revolving around the blessed word of Canonism comes forth, the policies within our government should adapt, and the clerical agenda should be represented to a greater extent than it is being represented in the Duma right now. With a great portion of my voters being members of the Church of the Canon, it is a requirement that I pass religious reforms. By the end of my term. I propose the addition of lessons revolving around the tenets of Canonism to the national curriculum, for the upbringing of a pious youth.

Summary

I recognise that during my campaign, I have made many promises to the populace of Hanseti-Ruska. And in order to ensure that my promises are delivered, I am publishing my agenda and my promises on paper, for the population to cite later on, so that my tenure as Alderman lies unquestioned.

Thank you for your votes.

Osvald
