THE REGULATION OF CHILDREN IN LABOUR ACT, 1759

 

 

INTRODUCTION:

To protect the rights and safety of children within the Empire, this bill seeks to allow them to experience their childhood by prohibiting them from engaging in different types of labour before they reach certain ages. This statute shall strengthen Section III, defining further the limitations and prohibitions of the employment of those under the age of majority as defined by the Imperial Employment Opportunities Act of 1743.

 

 

SECTION I:

Defining working ages for Children

 

  1.  Children below the age of ten will not be allowed to engage in any form of labour.
  2. Children above the age of ten will be allowed to engage in office and servantry labour.
  3. Children above the age of fifteen will be allowed to engage in manual labour.

 

 

SECTION II:

Violation and Punishment

 

  1.  Businesses that are found to be in violation of this statute shall be charged with Class E, or economic infringement to the first degree as mandated by the Oren Revised Code.
  2. Upon the recommendation of the Department of the Interior, the several provinces shall administer the charge in violation of this statute.
  3. Entities must be given no less than fourteen days to be notified of their infraction and to rectify their actions prior to further prosecution.
  4. Businesses with repeated offenses shall be barred from continuing their operations and must be given a notice of no less than seven saints days.
  5. The Department of the Interior shall be tasked with the enforcement of business and employment by vesting this oversight unto the Secretariat of Imperial Employment Opportunities or other designated officers of state as deemed fit.
