ASSUMPTION OF THE SUTICAN CROWN

8th of The Grand Harvest, 1772

To all Our leal subjects in the Trade Kingdom,

It is with great dismay and a heavy heart that We declare the vacation in disgrace of Our predecessor from the Cerulean Throne, and assert Our own God-given claim to such. ℭorwin von Alstreim is henceforward considered an enemy of the Free State, and he and any who support him shall be considered in a state of rebellion.

Any and all good subjects who affirm their fealty to Us shall maintain their positions within the Free State. All obstinate rebels who fail to surrender to their rightful liege shall be hanged, drawn and quartered. This We do decree with the full authority of the Cerulean Throne.

BY THE GRACE OF GOD,

HIS MAJESTY, Conrad of the House of Barclay, King in Exile of Sutica, Lord Protector and Triumvir of the State,

Lord of the Whispering Isles, Piercer of the Plate of the Populists, True Heir to the Duchy of Duck,

Captain of the Snowy Fields Watch.

George Calverley choked on his tea when he read this facetious letter "Well... Well... Well..." He remarked with a slight titter when he had wiped clean his besmirched lips and chin with a tatterdemalion cloth.
