ReveredOwl 5639 Share Posted August 20, 2020 DEUS POTENTISSIMUS PASTORUM THE SHEPHERDS 11th of Owyn’s Flame, 1782 Shepherds, men and women who cast a tender gaze over their flock, ensuring their cattle do not grow starving or are torn apart by ravenous wolves or foxes; a noble purpose indeed. These noble fellows live with their flock and get to know them quite well, name them, befriends them and cares for them even when they are sick. Even in the harshest of winters when the snow piles up and food is scarce on the dinner table, The Lord guides the shepherds of the realm, he too ordains the shepherds of his earthly creations: members of the Holy Church of The Canon. Let us not be mistaken, all clerical members of the church he has chosen as his shepherds, from the monks, the nuns and to the Pontiff; all are equal in their duty. Concerning and tumultuous continues to enshroud the good-mannered common folk and sometimes it even slips into our holy institution. As shepherds of the Lord’s earthly creations it is our role to, like the shepherds of the countryside, to offer a tender and loving hand out to all. Traverse the realm and speak to the common folk, even the non-believers for our good deeds and loving auror should not simply stretch only to the faithful, but all. Sometimes it is easy to forget as a clergyman that we are the Lord’s shepherd, we are entrusted by the Lord to spread his message and love to all, not to show hate and for that even I am guilty of. All clergymen should show as much enthusiasm for their role as the Lord has for us, it should be a joy to perform acts of charity and speak to your flock and hear their concerns, not a chore. Any who find it a chore to hold ceremonies and offer a tender hand to all should resign from their post for surely this is not the role for you. Even in troubling times such as now, with the demons of the Denier getting closer by the day, we should take guidance from the shepherds of the fields and persevere through times of hardship and even try harder than before. It should be no chore to harvest the farms for bread, or hold a wedding or listen to somebody's confession. As shepherds ordained by GOD we must fulfill his mission and spread his word and love. GOD bless and love to all!
Lojo613 1882 Share Posted August 20, 2020 “Such is the wisdom of GOD” Goren murmurs, signing the Lorraine “A better analogy could never have been conceived by mortal men for our post, given to us by Him.” Opening his copy of the Scroll of Gospel, he reads aloud. “At Owyn’s command, the brothers set shepherds over the flock of men, and so created a priesthood for their instruction, in anticipation of the second son of spirit.” (Gospel 5:5)
