Viking Funeral

On the 17th of The First Seed,  1783,  3 soldiers from the HRA set bounty to slay a small bandit post. Later on the young scyfling ranger, Throm heard of their  bounty and jumped at his chance to go to their aid. when he arrived he stealthily assassinated one of the heavier armored bandits quickly. As he did this another bandit saw him, this bandit was large and fearsome. He swund his shortsword at throm but he was able to block it with the corpse of the skewered bandit he had just slain. he then turned towards the bandit for a face off, equipped with only his High Shaman sword and his shaman longdagger he used all the strength he had to attack the bandit but his efforts were futile. the bandit used his sword to slice open Throm’s shoulder, and then used said sword to plunge it deep into throms side. As the wounded Throm went to swing both his sword and dagger at the bandit, he would use his buckler and bash it against throms helmet, sending him backwards down off the dirt mound he was standing on. Luckily, his brother in arms Astoro Jovanovsk tried his best to save him, but his attempts proved inadequate, instead the bandits sword flung out of his hands and plunged into his chest, not deep enough to kill him, but to completely render him from moving. Astoro was able to kill this bandit, but unfortunately the body went topling down onto Throms chest, plunging the sword deep enough that the only part visible was the handle, this obviously killed Throm. He was sent off to the afterlife like all the scyflings before him, his HRA brothers would place him onto a boat and set it ablaze and to sail straight into the center of Lake Milena, just outside Haense. leaving the last memory of him, to be awaiting at the bottom of the lake.

Brandt Barclay heard of the doings as he laid on his bed still, his leg severed and his body immobilized. A light grunt escaped his as he closed his eyes and dipped his head, showing respect for the young and brave, but fallen soldier. "Möge er bei Gott ruhen" he uttered in Waldenian.

On the same night Darien Frostfire was sitting by the fire in his house resting to heal his wounds from the siege he participated in. As he drank his carrion he heard a noise outside the door so he went to open it to see what is happening. After he opened that door he could see his wife Althea standing with teary eyes and shaking like crazy, Darien quickly grabbed her and sat her inside holding her closely. After few seconds he would ask her "honey, why are you crying?" Althea would look up at him and say hardly "Throm....." Darien quickly stood up worried sick "what happens to Throm?, is he hurt?!?" Darien would get extremely worried by now. Althea  then puts her hand on her mouth as she cried more "....I'm sorry. T-T-Throm was killed....." she said then she cried. At him hearing those words Darien would go blind from the shock. His eyes tear up and he started to shake at the mention of the kid he saw as a son being killed. He the clenched his fist and said to Althea  "dear......leave me for a minute" he said that then Althea  quickly went downstairs still crying. The moment Althea exited the room.........Darien went on a rampage destroying everything in that room.. from chests to chairs, he even cruahed the table, he done all that while screaming out of sorrow and sadness. (To be edited in the future)

Joshua had just gotten out of the house for the first time since the Siege by the HRA against the bandit camp in the Wick Woods. He took his regular stroll around the city when he overheard others speaking of Throm’s death, and at first he couldn’t believe what he heard. The soldier let out a huff and murmured to himself “He was just a boy. May you find peace after death my friend.” He nearly choked on his words, turning on his heel and continuing his walk. Though Throm’s death on his mind the remainder of the day.

Althea had heard the breaking of items upstairs, sitting at the end of her bed holding onto Yellow. She held onto Forrest’s hat crying, the heavy deja vu from losing someone again. “Oh Throm, if only you had gotten to meet Maela. I think you would have loved her like a sister.” Althea layed down in the bed, not changing into her nightgown. “If only I could have talked to you a little bit more. If only I could have held you from going out to fight. If only...” She trailed off, falling asleep in a cold empty bed.
