THE RESPONSE OF THE CENTRAL CIRCUIT COURT

In accordance with the Legal Procedure Act of 1772, Sir Edward Galbraith, Justice of the Central Circuit Court, assigned himself to these proceedings. Accordingly, the assigned Justice then met with the Plaintiff and the Defendant in order to review the merits of the case and decided that the matter was allowed to proceed to trial.

Afterwards, the Court received a Plea Agreement reached between the Plaintiff and the Defendant on the 10th of Sigismund’s End of 1787.

After a careful deliberation, the Court has decided to accept the aforementioned Plea Agreement and issue the following ruling;

RULING ON THE CROWN V. NAPIER

Varoche Hall, 11th of Sigismund’s End, 1787

Presiding Justice

Sir Edward Galbraith

Plaintiff

Basileios Balthazar Baelius

Defendant

Edward Napier

Witnesses / Submission Testimonies

George Galbraith

The Circuit Court, presided by Sir Edward Galbraith CCJ, verdicts on the following charges presented by the Plaintiff;

ORC 206.061 - Where an unmarried individual intentionally fornicates another individual in a public or private location, this shall be the crime of fornication, an infraction.

ORC 206.091 - Where an individual intentionally fornicates with one not of his race, such as man and elf or man and dwarf, this shall be the crime of miscegenation, a misdemeanor.

The Circuit Court, presided by Sir Edward Galbraith CCJ, verdicts;

The Defendant, Mr. Edward Napier, is found guilty of fornication (ORC. 206.06) and guilty of miscegenation (ORC 206.091) after having pled guilty on those charges in the Plea Agreement he signed with the Ministry of Justice.

The Circuit Court, presided by Sir Edward Galbraith CCJ, sentences;

The Defendant, Mr. Edward Napier, is sentenced to pay a fine of one thousand marks for the fornication infraction (ORC. 206.06) and a fine of five thousand marks for the miscegenation misdemeanor (ORC. 206.091) he committed.

Therefore, the Court orders Mr. Edward Napier to immediately pay the total monetary fine of 6,000 Marks to the Imperial State.

In addition, the Court orders Mr. Edward Napier to cease in his criminal actions and demands him to swear by the Holy Scrolls that he shall not perform the aforementioned criminal actions ever again.

Signed,

The Rt. Hon. Justice of the Central Circuit

Sir Edward Galbraith KM J.D. SSE.

“Truly speaks to the nature of the not so ‘Holy’ Orenian Empire, a man fornicates with an orc and all he has to do is pay a measly fine that goes into the courts pockets, he should be sentenced to servitude to the Holy Canonist Church, not this sham. I only pray that the Auditor of the Tribunal steps in and sorts this out for we clearly can not trust the imperial courts to defend their peoples souls from eternal damnation in the void. It is in fact written in the Oren Revised Code that a misdemeanor can lead to servitude to the Church yet they ignore this and condemn Edward to the void for all eternity and would rather fill their coffers then save a mans soul.” said Friar Boniface in his home as he read the verdict.
