Third Mayoral Decree

To the people of New Reza and the greater Crownlands of Hanseti-Ruska: it has come to my attention in my work as your Maer, that the recordkeeping and administrative side of our great city is somewhat lacking. While we may not notice any issues with this on a day to day basis, clear, concise and updated records provide an essential and invaluable source for historians, administrators and others in future generations. For this reason, I decree the establishment of New Reza’s City Archive.

This city archive will contain records and files of data that provide a source of recordkeeping about our city and government. The city archive will furthermore be accessible for the public to read within the town hall. Maintaining these records and files I will hereby consider a strict duty for myself and any future Maers. Every five years, the bare minimum of recordkeeping, consisting of a Positions record and a Holdings record of that year, must be made. The records of 1792 are already finished and accessible at the town hall in Sigismund’s Square.

The Positions record consists of a listing of all notable positions within the capital and those who hold them. This includes the Royal House, Aulic Council, Landed Peerage, Church Officials, Elected Officials, Knights, Jovenaars and Stewards. The Positions record may also feature a detailed ledger in the back with some more in-depth information on some or all of the persons listed.

The Holdings record lists all buildings (and some structures) found in the greater capital region. To allow this record to be kept with ease, Administrative districts have been established based on streets and areas of the city that divide the greater capital region. For New Reza, there will be four districts, those being the following:

Ekaterinburg - The Royal Palace of Ekaterinburg and its surrounding grounds.
Altstadt - The (majority of the) old city centre of New Reza.
Prinzenas - The city expansion built under Maer Aleksandra Mariya Stafyr. Named for many of its streets being named after Princesses.
Drezna - The outskirts of the city including the docks, farms and Spooner District. Named for the Naumariav word for ‘outside’, referring to the areas outside the walls.
