To be a peer of the realm means to be in a class apart from the common man. Peers are the exemplars of duty, morality, and stability- all sworn in service to the Crown. They make up much if not all of the Aristocracy, purveyors of particular Human cultures with a set unified characteristics born from Imperial association.

The bloodlines of the present are steeped in generations of achievements and renown that stretches back even to before the 1st Empire. Though even those born into simple means have the opportunity to aspire to greatness. The House of Lords in representative service to the Crown have collated a set of criteria that any man and their family must meet in order to be afforded the opportunity to ascend into nobility.

Each criteria bears with it a purposeful reason that contributes to the central idea of a wanted and warranted peer. Prospects must demonstrate long standing service, investment, and commitment to the Empire and her idyllic vision. They must make themselves known and worthy to the class they intend to enter into, establishing the renown before the title among the aristocracy. They must come forth with the potential of long lasting and loyal lineage that would be sure to remain fervent in every branch of their family tree and remain healthy through the test of time. They must stand apart and stand tall within the Tapestry of Man, displaying the pride of their House and the wealth of the culture they shall offer. And finally, they must leave no room for fear of failed obligations to the Crown, their debts to the realm never forgotten, and their allegiances never questioned.

Hopeful future peers of the Holy Oren Empire will be judged against the following milestones by the House of Lords when determining the validity of a petition. These items are provided to the public as a means to provide transparency and ambition to those who believe they are worthy. It is the burden of the petitioner to prepare accurate and truthful responses to be consolidated in a formal request and submitted to the House of Lords for review. Verbal testimony is accepted following the review of the official documents.

Minimum Package Requirements:

  1. Petitioner must have a least 20 years of service to the Empire/Crown (Military/Civil/Other)
  2. Must be recommended by at least two current Peers of the Empire (title owners)
  3. Must have at least three other House members in service to the Empire/Crown, one of which must be a viable heir
  4. Must have an established House culture
    • Coat of Arms/Colors
    • Motto/Symbology/Bio
    • House cultural identity and values
    • At least 5 generations of proven Human pedigree
  5. Must Provide documentation of economic status

All peerage packages must be submitted in full to a currently serving House of Lords Imperial Grandee in order to reach the table for consideration. Said Grandees will meticulously review the contents of the submission, deliberate on the quality and character of the hopeful, and vote of the viability of accepting the peerage request. Additional content or supplementary verbal consultation with the applicant may be requested by the House of Lords as needed. Applicants may request the opportunity to provide a personal statement performed to the sitting Grandees so long as the minimum package requirements are met. Packages that receive an affirmative vote by the House of Lords will then be recommended to the Crown for the ultimate decision.

Spoiler

The bulk of the packages may be consolidated into a single document. Each item must have some form of substantiating evidence to support the claim. Recommendations from other peers should come in the form of an RP letter. For items that call for cultural standing, such as item 4, a House forum post is the most preferred method- complete with a family tree. Everything included in a peerage package must be admissible in RP in order to count for consideration.
