The Legal Farewell Bill of 370 ES

Introduced in the Duma.

An act to declare a person legally dead on their disappearance after five years.

INTRODUCTION

This bill proposes to ensure that those who have either absconded from society in general with no legal proof of their living or have in-fact disappeared are considered dead by society so that life might continue on without them. Once declared legally dead, all other processes which would normally occur can begin, such as inheritance.

I. Necessary Definitions

  • Disappearance: The person in question has disappeared from society entirely neither writing letters or being seen generally.
  •

II. Amendments

508: Legal Death

  • 508.01: After a period of five years or more, a subject may have the right to appeal to the Jovenaars to have a person declared dead on account of their disappearance.
  • 508.011: If a person has been falsely declared dead, they may appeal to the Jovenaars for the return of their lost assets.
