A Verbal Account || Yong Ping

"I come back from my two month trip with word of pirates on the horizon. A letter pinned to the wall speaking of how this cowardice men lead by an animal known as "Captain Ha-Jun" wish for yong ping to be theirs. All the city's resources and 20 members for their own purposes" He'd scoff  "Slaves, They say they are men of honor yet they wish for men and woman of yong ping to give up their homes and livelihood to run amok it's stress. Telling us that they aren't willing to talk and that if we don't give them what they wish they will attack.... So what do we do. We fight back." he said with a smile

 

"The next Tree day we load the ballistas onto our small ship in the dead of night and we attack with fire. Oijin and myself get into a small life raft and we row to the other side of the ship. We set them ablaze with the will o'bottles Oijin had made. It was fun using my slingshot" the 'feral' elf added on "Sadly after a few miss fires and getting shot at with their cannons our ship went down. It went down hard. The pirates were able to put their fire out.

While waiting for the others to get into the life rafts, I ended up pulling out a body floating in the water. It was burnt and had melted chains around it's writes and ankles, which I can only guess is from the the fire we started on their ship. While we fled in our life rafts we were opened fired upon." the Mali'ame would run his fingers through his hair then rub the back of his neck "My life raft got a hole in it, Carla and I jumped ship after I dumped the body into Fumi's and Ren's raft. I hurriedly took of my YPA armor while standing in our sinking life raft then jumped ship just as it went under and swam back to shore... I was late for the social season's painting class and dinner, both of which I missed" he said getting a little red in the face out of embarrassment

 

"Later while I was at my home in the edict, the pirates attacked yong ping. From what I was told cannon balls flew across the sky into the top of the Tianrui tea house, and took of the heads of the Dragons at the dragon gate near the sea side... poor dragons." the young lad would continue "It also messed up the long keep. With this came with a other note from the cowards, They call us honorless. That we show incompetence in battle, disregard for your own soldier's lives. We fight to protect what others have fought so hard to build and maintain. While we many not have the best strategy to deal with the bandits at sea, we have hope and spirit. A few months of quite after came, and they were very welcome."

"After about 2ish months of quite I went to shrine outside the Yong Ping gates near my camp sight were I had my coming of age trail at. I met a man near there by the name of Mamushi, We talked. He asked me if I was the one with Oijin to light up the side of the ship, I tried to pretend I didn't know what he was talking about, only for him to tell me Oijin told him. I played it off saying I blocked out the day due to being late to the painting class, which was half true. He then asked why I was out there and I answered, He then asked how she died...and I answered. We got to talking about our world views... Mine are different then most to say the least, but that's something to get into a other time." the young Mali'ame would chuckle rubbing the back of his neck "At some point he pulled out a hatch asking me if I though an animal could make something like this. My response was something along the lines of ''animals have different ways do defend and hunt, this is just what we use'' after our little 'chat' I turned to walk away, only for him to try and attack me. I was able to doge everything he threw at me by some miracle. Moving closer to the beach Fumi, who also went to the camp every once and a while saw what was going on and jumped in to help. As well with a few others. Needless to say I was grateful. We found out that he was one of the pirates on the ship. To get away from us he jumped into the water and swam away in full samurai attire a hard feat on it own let alone being lit up by some will o'bottle thrown at him by Fumi. Still he was able to get away."

"Next Tree day rolls around and the YPA the Edict and a few others get together and form a plan of attack. Two teams, one for land and one for the sea. Once more in the dead of night we attack, We struggled for a little but after some malfunctions we were able to get onto their ship. We attacked sadly some salves died but so did some of their crew. They pushed cannons down the stairs trying to stop us, clearly it didn't. Some of us did get shot though but that was quickly taken care of. I even got shot at, an arrow missed my eye." he'd the show the scar he got from while on the ship, near his right eye just above the clan tattoo "It was a close one, but a fun one to get" he chuckled "We made our way through the ship making it to the deck, We ended up saving roughly 159 slaves from their ship, however our small victory was short lived. The next day we were once more attacked but with more force, as if we kicked the bee hive."

"The top of the tea house was even more destroyed, Morgan got blow up.... and the dragon sea gate fell. We were invaded, We were able to defend the long keep, but the temple was ransacked and the ones who lived in the slums. Their homes were lit a flame many dead bodies littered the streets. Lex was stabbed in the lungs by one, however the one who stabbed him was taken care of" he smirked slightly after he spoke somberly "Almost all of the cowardice animals who came into our city were killed. Blood for blood, however we couldn't have done what we did if the animals from Talons port and Edict didn't come to our aid and I'm thankful for their help. I'm not sure what the next attack will entail but for now we lick our wounds and they like theirs while we mourn the loses."
