To my successor

There comes a time when everything old must go out to prepare for the new. My reasons for leaving are simple, I was not fit to be the Lord Mayor of Providence. I appreciate all of those who had confidence in me and believed I could do it and I'm sorry that I let you down.  I hope my successor can do a better job than I did. Someone who can inspire Providence and improve relations between her people and us, the government. 

 

I hope you will not let the people who doubt you keep you from your full potential as you can do anything if you put your mind to it.

 

Please continue to encourage the city assembly in their work and plan wonderful events for all of Providence to enjoy. 

 

When you receive the news you won, maybe don't be hungover like I was and go and celebrate and make the most of it from your very first day, and remember if you need any advice, I'm sure my uncle and I would be happy to help. You've got this, good luck!
