Let this proclamation serve as the guiding words of Lord Marshal Joseph Brandt, as penned by the scribe Libris X. Nihilo, spoken in good spirit and under witness of his lordship the Prince Oliver Renault and the eyes of the most holy GOD

A well regulated militia, being essential to the security of our state,

the right of the people to keep and bear arms shall not be infringed.

Let the populace of this, the cradle of man under GOD, the Princedom of Savoy, know that they are in safe hands; for it was under my serene observation that the city was understood to be lacking and its deficits remedied. With the crops found to be outside the retaining wall of Savoy, a terror did shake me. In the event of a siege, the residents of San Luciano would surely starve.

And so, by my hand, I have taken it upon myself to bring food within the walls of Savoy. A self-sustaining, renewable food source. I introduce to you the Safe Siege initiative. For so it is that GOD provides the means for man, so too is man tasked to cultivate GOD's gifts.

The Esheveurd Brigade henceforth calls upon the citizens and soldiers of Savoy to take seed and berry from the patch now known as "Brandt's Crop," and to start a patch of their own before their homes that the city might remain prosperous even under duress -- for though we are pious, so too is it said that GOD helps the man who helps himself.

Here's to the farmer.

Those found without crops in their yards will be subject to investigation by the Esheveurd Brigade for suspected treasonous ideation and noncompliance with the Safe Siege initiative.

Praise GOD.

Signed,

Lord Marshal Joseph Brandt

Haskir had observed the farmer Joseph Brandt tending to his crops from afar. How incredible, the sight.

"Here's to the farmer." He echoes from some song faintly playing through the sky.
